My dad worked two jobs to put me through Carolina. He raises the toast with me every game and he never darkened the door of a college. You can tell him he can’t if you want. Good luck! That’s not a debate I know but you can debate him.

LOLI am not a graduate of the University of South Carolina, but I am a diehard fan. I have had season tickets for going on 4 decades. Because USC is the public STATE university, I feel there is no reason why I and thousands of other USC fans cannot toast the institution that we pull for and love dearly. If it weren't for those people who didn't graduate from there, no games would be financially viable. Only graduates of USC could not and would not support the athletic programs. It is insulting to demean those "inbred" and "one tooth gomers" because as hickish as they may be, they contribute to the university in their own ways. I've heard the country hicks sing loud and proud the songs of the military on recognition day. They haven't been in those branches of service, but they still sing because they believe in our military and support those who fight for us. It's the same with USC. We all believe in it, and we all love it and want to be a part of it. Here's a Health, Carolina! FOREVER to thee!
I'm sorry, but I don't agree it's OK for "country hicks" who didn't serve (nor have any kids who served) to loudly sing the Marine's Hymn as they please. Now if a bunch of Marines are singing it and invite country hicks in the room to join in, by all means!I am not a graduate of the University of South Carolina, but I am a diehard fan.
