When Lebby was hired, he said after year 1 that he wanted MSU fans to believe they've got the right guy. Well, after 10 games, I don't think we're any closer to believing we got the right guy than the day he was hired. All I know right now is that we hired a pretty good OC as our HC. I have no clue if he's a good HC yet.
With two games left, some of these grades can & hopefully will change.
Offense - B - We certainly have some holes in talent, but overall I'm generally happy & excited about the direction of the offense & QB development. We look like we've got a really good OC
Defense - F - Just hard to understand what we were even trying to do on defense. With a 1st year HC, the DC should've been an experienced guy, but if we had to go get a 1st year DC, it should have been on a short contract. Just a complete abortion what we allowed to happen in the hiring process on that side of the ball. I don't just blame Lebby. I blame Selmon as well. People literally had no foresight here.
Special Teams - B+ - Has been pretty solid. I still don't trust Ferrie but everyone else seems solid.
HS Recruiting - C- - Due to very little winning or upward trajectory in the program, we've struggled to adequately recruit MS like we have to. That said, I can't go D or F when you've got a 5 star QB committed that can change your program.
Portal - C- - Minor, Coleman, the RBs, Shapen, & others were some solid pickups, so it wasn't a complete disaster. That said, it's just got to be so much better for us to take a step to being a bowl team. I could've gone D+ here to be honest while realizing that the timing of Lebby's hiring wasn't ideal for being great in the portal.
Team culture - B - Seems solid. I have not seen many effort or discipline problems. The kids seem to like Lebby.
All together, Lebby has a lot of work to do to get passing grades. We're going to find out soon if he's willing to make the adjustments to pass or just makes excuses.

He came in sort of late, a lot of damage had been done to the program, prior to his arrival. He will now have the opportunity to benefit from better use of the portal, I think we have more NIL $, best I can tell. I'm willing to wipe the slate clean on this year, and expect better from the future. I'm usually tough on these guys, but I think he is a good coach, and will make it work.
I think Colonel Kang got lost. From posting here, to Steve's Page, to the pay board, it's probably an easy thing to do. I think his post was intended for the pay board, but why in the heck would you want to pay to post on a message board? Makes no sense at all.
You pay for the info and recruiting. If that’s not your thing, then don’t do it. Pretty simple.
The pay board gets insane traffic. It’s probably 4 or 5 times what is on here.
