I like watches-I don't collect them, but I like them. I generally only have two and only replace one when it stops working, which they very rarely do. My everyday is an Invicta "pro diver" which is a very inexpensive watch, but I think it's good looking and it keeps good time, plus you can see the action though a window in the back that's kind of cool. My other one is a really old Seiko, also a dive style but a quartz watch- also was not expensive when new.

I'm so used to wearing one that I'm not comfortable without one.
I don't care what time it is......

Which TAG Heuer do you have?
I cross referenced the website, and the closest I could find was either the Formula 1 or Aquaracer Professional. Mine has slight differences to both, but I am honestly not sure if he got me a new watch, or a previoiusly owned watch (does not matter to me).

No. I own a couple but haven't worn one in at least four years. The phone took its place.

Do you know what kind of dogs these are?

Some good ones in there. The Orient dive watches are a great value, especially if you put them on a nato and ditch the so-so bracelets. The Citizen's Nighthawk is awesome! I have one, but with no bezel it doesn't get as much wear as it should.

The bracelet is nice, all solid steel, but it looks so cool on a distressed leather zulu strap.

This pic blows but it is almost exactly what it looks like (except for that custom white chapter ring).

The face is very busy, but then you have the case which is starkly minimalist. The huge crystal is striking while taking up almost the whole face of the watch. It's a weird watch but I think it looks cool as hell. It's also a decent size in this time of huge watches while maintaining a slim profile. And it's useful when you're in a different time zone than normal for a week or two. I always bring it when I travel so now it's a good luck charm.

Also, you never know when you'll need to calculate your remaining fuel at different speeds or speed in knots or whatever the hell is going on with the internal bezel.

It's not for every day so when you do bust it out people are like WTF is that thing?

I am a fan of the Eco-drive solar power. I've had it for 6 years at least and it just goes and goes.

Does my phone count since I take it everywhere. Have two watches and a garmin gps for golf. Don’t wear them unless I get dressed up which living at the beach is never.

Use to wear one when I coached Basketball, had a few nice ones and had a Galaxy watch until my 3 yr old swiped and no clue where it is now. :)

This thread got me going and now I have a new watch on the way. I've been doing some extra billing and have some gift cards sitting around so it's time to indulge. Yes it's no Daytona but I think you have to be really rich or stupid to spend more on a watch than a decent car. Conspicuous consumption is not in my DNA, nor is the risk taking required to get rich.

I am excited to see a sapphire crystal instead of the usual hardlex. I have a Deep Blue with sapphire and I love how it looks. Also, it's fun to use an actual chronometer for dab timing.

I think it will probably look best with a black leather strap or something similar. I've been trying and failing to nail this look for awhile. Here's what I envision.

I found this beauty in my watch case this morning and slipped in on. It’s a HMT, stands for Hindustan Machine Tool company watch, made in India from a Citizen windup movement. You can buy them refurbished on EBay for about $29. They are popular in India because in rural areas you never need to replace a battery. They’re cheap because the technology is old but they are very reliable. They run like a charm and this Kohnihoor model is quite attractive in my opinion.
