Most of the men I know are on their third cup of coffee by then. They are either on their way to work or have already clocked in at the plant.

Hey, why do you think these "men you know" are unable to adjust to their wakeup/work schedule, to the point where they're downing 3 cups of coffee before even starting work? You'd think they'd be able to get to bed in a timely fashion and not have to rely on copious amounts of caffeine just to get themselves functional to go into work.

I take it you do not have an engineering degree? You never worked in construction did you? I managed people in the industry for 40 years. I take it you never worked in manufacturing either? You will find the men and women who work these jobs are used to these hours. Shift work, and there are three 8 hour shifts in many industries and professions (Medicine), is quite common. It must be nice to work in a job where the worst thing you have to worry about is a paper cut and where you go for lunch.
Oh, and your comment about getting a good education is nonsense and shows your ignorance. Many of us who worked these jobs earned enough to own homes, send kids to college, meet the bills, and live good lives. I know men who work in the trades who earned over $150,000 a year and built businesses they own becoming millionaires. You will find many of those men on this site.

Franklin supporter here. With that being said, he is taking a beating with in state recruits this cycle.
And he's doing better with far-reaching recruits in the south and Cali than we usually do. Seems like it balances out.
