Because no honest coach is every going to close the door to what could be a pretty good raise, whether he leaves or not. And even if he did make a public statement denying interest in the job, no one would believe him anyway.
The last coach that left OM for Auburn did just that. His agent did all the leg work so technically he was telling the truth.

I tend to believe that DS is right about most things and since I have accepted that the ole Devils life has gotten much easier.
