I think both are likely. Get the D healthier and they’ll improve. The offense is messy, but it was good to see them take the run the way they did. Patience is critical in this league.2 things, IMO. Injuries on defense, especially in the secondary and I think people have underestimated the effect of 2 new coordinators.
I don’t gamble. Did they not cover the -6 at 34-28?Those who had the Eagles -6 can't be happy tonight.
They most certainly improved from week 1 to week 2. Hopefully the 10 days rest will get some key players back from injury and we will see more improvement when they play the Bucs in week 3.The good news is that tonight was still a much better performance on offense than game 1. They imposed their will with Swift, who simply has to be the starter from here on out. He’s a bad man at RB.
its easy. Eagles -6 just subtract 6 from their score. 34-28=6. This is called a push, nobody won or loss the bet. Thats why the 1/2 is always so helpful. Eagles at -5 1/2 , you win. Eagles at -6 1/2 you lose. the 1/2 keeps the number of pushs down.I don’t gamble. Did they not cover the -6 at 34-28?
I saw this video recap this morning. I don’t know the guy, but he shows quite clearly that the Vikings were playing three-deep zone to try and contain the Eagles vertical pass game all night. That’s why the run was so effective.OTOH when they needed the pass game, it worked as it should. on a 3rd and 5 in the 4th?. Hurts drop back, AJ runs 6 yds takes a step away from the defender, Jurts sticks the ball right in there. For now, IMO, they need to forget those screens to the sideline and things will be much better.
the hits just keep on coming!!

The Eagles offense is wildly versatile. They force defenses to make compromises and can just beat them by taking what’s given. Rather than force balls when Minnesota is dropping 7 into coverage, they just emasculated them with Swift.
