Nerves.OK, this 49ers fumble brings up a good point...even the 4th string QB is supposedly one of the best in the world. I understand why it leads to something like a significantly lower completion % or more sacks or more interceptions, but it never made sense to me why such a player wouldn't even be able to catch a snap consistently.
That's the weird part...this particular one wasn't forced. One of the best football players in the world just couldn't catch a snap...very strange, at the NFL level, not sure what "4th string" has to do with catching a snap.
I’m a Washington fan and will defer to the die hard Eagles fans here but I think Boston Scott is the more decisive and powerful runner. I just like his running style better but it’s a good “problem” to have -Scott or Sanders?
Can't dispute that...and add in a million commercials.
I'd be happier if Sanders was used more, but it's hard to argue with the success they've had under this system. It works well with their DL rotations as well.
Gainwell feels like the hot hand right now. All three have strengths. I can understand (not agree with) his point of view, even though overstated. Emotions tend to take over. Just think of what this board would be like if a similar sequence of calls went against Penn State. I'm sure many, including myself, would be livid. Lafayette is by and large a very rational poster.

I looked away from the catch, but everything I’ve seen says it should have been ruled incomplete. Begs the question: on 4th down there’s a 20-yard pass called complete inside the 10 and by the receiver’s reaction it’s iffy. Maybe someone can convince me that Shanahan should get a pass for not challenging. You got to be on the absolute top of your game.
