Thoughts on this???
On one hand, one clown giving the rest of the fans a bad name is not cool and I wish people could just be civil.
on the other hand, this is an every Sunday occurrence in the 200 level. Standard. What can you expect when you come into a playoff game with the opposing teams gear on?? And we have no clue what precluded this interaction. Was she being rude all game?? All I’m saying is 2 sides to the story. And to put this on social media in hopes to find this dude and get him banned from the stadium?? FOR SAYING MEAN THINGS!?!?!? Freaking weak…..
The dude that was verbally abusing the female Packer's fan was an a-hole.
As you noted, this kind of stuff does happen every Sunday, in every stadium (not just the Linc), when you wear a uniform of the opposing team to the game.
From my experience at Birds' games, surrounding fans don't get too involved in these situations. An exception is if a person is cursing a lot, and there are kids nearby, folks usually tell the idiot to stop with the language.
The other thing to keep in mind is that throughout the game, there are announcements about a number to text or call if somebody in your section is acting inappropriately. I've seen people make those texts/calls, and security comes in fast and heavy to address the situation. It's possible that visiting fans weren't paying attention to those announcements (both on the loudspeaker and on the scoreboards), or didn't want to make a scene.
Also, 4:30 games, or evening games, especially when the weather is good (it was chilly, but a beautiful sunny day in Philadelphia on Sunday), do lead to a lot of folks that have drunk too much being in the stands. That doesn't excuse the behavior -- just explaining what I've observed many times.
