269 total yards, 3.8 yards per play, and 4 punts against SF. Just putting that out here. Philadelphia fans better hope the Eagles O that shows up in the Super Bowl is the one that NYG saw two weeks ago. Eagles had three punts in that Giants game.

Don’t forget San Francisco was the best defense in the NFL. The Chiefs are not.

Correct. But the SF defense was on the field most of the game since SF literally could not pass the entire second half. In the Super Bowl, the Eagles will face Mahomes rather than no QB.

9ers D must have come into the game gassed then. The first eagles drive was 11 plays for 66 yards and 5:12 clock and 5th drive was 14 plays 75 yards and 6:53 clock. Again, in the first half, when they still had a QB (albeit Josh Johnson).

and 31 points!! 4 touchdowns on the ground!! and a roughing the punter call as well!! brought in the riot squad with about 7 minutes to go!!! I'll take it!! Jim one day you'll learn the game isnt about stats.

You’re talking to a MATHS. o_O guy. What else is there besides stats? Heart? Team chemistry? Coming through in the clutch? That’s all bullsh|t.

It’s my impression that Mahomes was limping a lot more at the end of the Bengals game than at the beginning.

No question those were two nice drives. However, the score was still 14-7 with around 3 minutes to go in the 1st half when Johnson fumbled the shotgun snap and the Eagles took advantage of a short field to make it 21-7. Never said the Eagles didn't play well, nor do I believe that the Chiefs defense is as good as the 49ers. My simple point is that the Eagles defense will have to play against Mahomes in the Super Bowl rather than a 3rd string, then 4th string and then no quarterback. We shall see what happens.

I dont think so, the score was 7-7 at the 2 minute warning. They scored to make it 14-7, the 9ers got the ball back with about 1:30 to go in the half. Completed a pass and then Johnson fumbled the snap, and the Eagles took the recovery in for the score to make it 21-7 at half. I have agrued that the 9ers should have sat on the ball, and gone into half time 14-7 , especially seeing how they were to recieve the second half kick off.

I don't think that's what I said in my post. I do agree that the Niners should have played conservatively when down 14-7 right before the half especially since they got the ball to start the second half.

They weren't rolling up 500 yards, but the Eagles did basically shut it down halfway through the 3Q when it was pretty evident the 49ers weren't going to score. On their last three drives the Eagles ran the ball 23 times and passed 4 times.

SF f

Didn’t against the Bengals.
Yes it did. He was visibly limping as the game was in its final 5 minutes. He toughed it out. The commentator (Romo) pointed out that when had to move left or put pressure on his left foot to make a hard/fast throw he was noticeably weaker. All that said, I would expect given 2 weeks he should be much better, not 100%, but stronger than he was against the Bengals.

Definitely agree with Jason Kelce that the opposing team's jersey on the Rocky statue is an Eagles fan seeking to rile the base rather than a fan of the opposing team going out of their way in "hostile" territory days before the game to deface the statue. Had the same exact thought when someone posted about the 49ers jersey last week; it is very unlikely that a Niners fan put it there. What Jason says, that it is an Eagles fan, makes MUCH more sense. imho if a Chiefs jersey appears there it will be confirmation; doubt that there are too many Chiefs fans in the area and this time the game is being played elsewhere, so it isn't like they would be in town for the game LOL. 🤷‍♂️

Fair enough. That does track, and I had been wondering. The Eagles O does need to do better, though.

Hurts needs to hit that long pass to Brown. I thought too many of his passes were sailing. If he gets location on the easier short and medium passes, Philadelphia will be tough to beat. He’ll have to go deep four, five times, I’m guessing here, and he needs to hit a couple, at least.

One week to go. I figure with this thread, we’ll be so fed up that none of us will watch the game.
