great break down of the Eagles run game vs the 9ers (even if it is from a Brit or an Aussie)
watching this, as much as Lane Johnson and Kelce get the pub, Landon Dickerson just absolutely mauls people!! I hope his arm is okay, let alone his ankle...

Great analysis. Reminds me of my all time favorite NFL analyst Ron Jaworski.

As an old Redskin, I’ve seen three Lombardi Trophies with my Hogs. #offensivelinesmatter

I tell ya…. Been a while since we’ve seen a Big Jon Runyan kind of OLman. The kind of nasty, borderline dirty player that just wants to hurt people. The left side pair is that in spades. Lando is a son-of-a-***** while Mailata seems nice and jovial then pancakes you and lays there for a minute just to make sure you understand. I love the left side of this line.

An interesting comparison of the Eagles' OL to that of my team (who the Eagles destroyed this year): The Eagles have seven players who reached 1,000 offensive snaps this year. Lane Johnson came 26 snaps away from the Eagles having five O-linemen eclipse that mark. Green Bay has had seven players reach 1,000 offensive snaps in the past three years combined.

Dickerson is going to be a steal from the draft with Howie taking some risk with Dickerson coming off that knee injury. Dickerson just crushes people. He and Mailata are 2 BIG dudes that can move.
I am calling it now I think Devontae Smith has a huge game in the Super Bowl. Think he breaks out and has a massive game leading the Eagles to victory.

wow!! but who do you want now????
5. Here’s a comparison of DeVonta Smith and Jordan Matthews after their first 34 career games. I never would have dreamed their numbers would be so similar:

Smith: 159 catches, 2,112 yards, 12 TDs, 100 first downs, 13.3 yards per catch.

Matthews: 165 catches, 2,054 yards, 17 TDs, 98 first downs, 12.4 yards per catch.

I always liked Matthews. He played for CJF at Vanderbilt, and went from being a last-minute offer by the previous coach at Vandy to a being on the Biletnikoff Award Watch List, 1st team All-SEC, to the #42 pick of the 2014 NFL draft (with the Birds moving up to get him). He was, as Roob's stats show, pretty productive for the Birds.

The 2016 season (his 3rd in the NFL) was also the 1st year that Carson Wentz started for the Birds. I'm not sure why, but it was statistically Matthews's poorest year of his first 3.

If I recall correctly, he was traded around the start of training camp for the 2017 season to the Buffalo Bills. Matthews and a 2018 3rd-round pick went to the Bills and CB Ronald Darby came to the Birds.

Jordan broke his thumb in his season with the Bills, and after returning from that suffered a leg injury (I think it was his knee). He ended up signing with New England after the 2017 season, but ended up messing up his hamstring before training camp and was released with an injury settlement.

The Birds signed him for a 2nd stint early in the 2018 season, after their WRs suffered a rash of injuries. He did OK with the Birds, but nothing spectacular.

In short, in his first 2-3 seasons, he looked to be a pretty dependable #2 WR in the NFL, but for whatever reason(s), his career went downhill after that.

All true. But I think 6 will be extra special, I hope.
