Thoughts on ACC going to a ‘success based’ revenue sharing model to reward teams who perform better/make playoffs? This isn’t just giving the premiere brands whatever they want a la Big XII and Texas/OU - it’s more money for success on the field….


That should ensure that the rich stay rich and the poor mind their place.

It's not new. The old Big East used to do it.

I'm not opposed. As it stands, schools that don't go to bowls wind up, in most cases, better off financially than those that do (nothing like profligacy).
you make a very good point about schools not going to bowls winding up better. Although now days you have to be really bad not to get an invite.

One of the interesting arguments 'against' I heard was not wanting to have the financial success of a team depend on one play/player (such as, missing a field goal results in not going to a bowl/good bowl/playoff and it cost the university a few million dollars).

The b1g should go with a Success-With-Honor-based revenue sharing model.
