How about performance enhancements ?I’ve never received performance incentives.
Serious question: why? Paying CJF more isn’t by itself going to keep PSU in the Top 10. NIL money is.If PSU wants to be top 10, they need to pony up and put Franklin in the top 5.

Franklin did a pretty good job this year. Still wish PSU beat OSU, but they won several close games. They’re in the playoffs. He’s a consistent recruiter. I look at the number of 4 star and above compared to other teams. PSU typically gets a good amount of 4 and above, comparable to top 10. They also take a lot of 3 stars which is smart if they are actually 4 star talent that was unrecognized by evaluating services. His pay is reasonable. Both parties locked into a long term contract to minimize perceived risk. So Franklin won’t get a huge windfall and go to number 1, but he won’t get burned either. If PSU wants to be top 10, they need to pony up and put Franklin in the top 5.
I was just stirring the ****. All you have to do is mention James and contract to start a stampede. On a serious note, I don't think they can let him slip below #15.Serious question: why? Paying CJF more isn’t by itself going to keep PSU in the Top 10. NIL money is.
No, but he is an excellent coach and should be in the top 10 in terms of compensation. Why? Does more money make him coach better?
He's having a better year than 7 of the 12 coaches paid more than he is. Do you give him more money for that? Same principle.I think Kraft should deduct pay for the OSU game commensurate with his new playoff money. Call it even.
Is that why your boss will never increase your compensation? Why? Does more money make him coach better?
Yes and then deduct it for the OSU game. He's having a better year than 7 of the 12 coaches paid more than he is. Do you give him more money for that? Same principle.
Are you saying I don’t have to work, just show up and get raises? Is that why your boss will never increase your compensation?
An employer doesn't increase your compensation in the hopes of making you a better, more productive employee. The employer offers to increase your compensation in recognition of your demonstrated productivity and is acknowledging your value ( because he knows your value in the market place). While a "raise" may not make you a better employee it has been demonstrated that an employee that feels appreciated will in fact be more productive. Are you saying I don’t have to work, just show up and get raises?
As a PSU fan, I was so "appreciative" of Franklin's predictable performance vs. OSU.While a "raise" may not make you a better employee it has been demonstrated that an employee that feels appreciated will in fact be more productive.
Ask Jimbo how that worked outSerious question: why? Paying CJF more isn’t by itself going to keep PSU in the Top 10. NIL money is.
When my employees ask for a raise I tell them there is a lever under their chair for that.An employer doesn't increase your compensation in the hopes of making you a better, more productive employee. True he needs to learn to block and tackle better. As a PSU fan, I was so "appreciative" of Franklin's predictable performance vs. OSU.
That game was so winnable, yet BGJ managed to F it up at home.
