Hand-off to Lee and Lee is tackled behind the line by his own OL linemen who are pushed back into the backfield quicker than a runaway shopping cart in the Walmart parking lot heading straight towards your brand-new car.

Shot Gun, Clifford rolls right and trips, while falling decides to throw anyway to a wide open RB 6 yards in front of him, throws it behind the RB who reaches back for it and it deflects into the air and is almost inercepted

Cliff drops back to pass and gets flushed from the pocket and takes off for a 75 yard TD

A better version of this team couldn’t beat Illinois.

It happened but recall it also happened to UW during their great Rose Bowl year too. No excuses but hard to justify we were a "better" version. Clifford playing on severely bruised rib or hurt back. CV should have been playing. Mustipher lost for year. Big boy Billema outsmarted Pry and CJF that day.

Don’t see upgrades for Brisker, Smith, or Dotson. Some talent but young. QB play likely the same. Also lose Ebiketie, Stout, Walker, TCF, and Luketa to NFL. Unfortunately not hard to outsmart CJF if he doesn’t have elite talent everywhere (and even then it’s 50/50).

I agree but let's not rewrite history. Smith and TCF were not great players and particularly bad tacklers for their positions. Luketa was a great leader but he whiffed alot too. AE had great year but speed edge rusher and hope we can replace that role, probably Robinson or Sutton. Dotson, Stout, Brisker are the big losses. Walker straight up sucked, along with Wilson and Miranda. Clifford is someone you just can't ask to do alot, particularly throwing under pressure. When moving, he has tendency to throw INT bc trying for long ball. Two INTs in Ark game show his weaknesses. Still, he had no run game to rely on. Singleton and Allen may be able to change dynamic of offense. Too much reliance on Dotson and Stout to bail us out.

Not ‘great’ players but made the NFL. We don’t have players as good or better to replace them IMO. We’ll see I guess.

Franklin doesn’t need top-flight talent. Preparation, game plan, and in-game coaching (adjustments). That’s how Franklin wins.

I see it different strengths, different weaknesses. Getting Mustipher back and staying healthy, plugging up middle might lessen pressure on LBs. Having a dangerous run game might take pressure off Clifford having to hope WR can make big play, like Dotson's role.

Asking a lot of freshman and a forgiving injury bug. We’ll see.

Singleton and Lee in Pro set, 2 tights, 1 WR; singleton goes up the middle with Lee blocking.

True but Singleton is special talent, like Saquon. Ready to produce Day 1. He arrived early, learned playbook and practiced spring/summer so that is huge. He needs opening then he is gone. High hopes.
