Is this the least nervous you have been about an Egg Bowl?...

I hate losing to them but I know the outcome Friday. Usually I have sense of nervousness because just the thought of losing the Egg Bowl makes me sick. If we win, I'll be elated but I have zero expectations of a win on Friday.

I'm not nervous at all, because as you said, I think we all know the outcome.

I'd say that I feel like I did going into our last Egg Bowl under Croom. Very similar to that. Hoping that the bad outcome bears fruit in the form of better coaching on the defensive side of the ball next year.

It's close, but I'm slightly more nervous than 2008 because we're in year 1 of a new coach and he clearly has a lot of work cut out for him this off-season.

That 2008 EB had me feeling like I washed down a coupla Xanax with some 100 proof.

2010 and 2011, I wasn’t nervous, but obviously not for the same reasons.

My fandom goes back to the early 70's & I've bought season tickets since the early 90's. They have absolutely driven me to the point that I do not give one 17 about MSU football. It will be HE!! to get me to buy the 8-10 season tickets next year that I have been buying since 91. I just more than doubled my annual Bulldog Initiative now State Excellence contribution, but I may just focus on basketball & baseball.

It's sad that in a year 1 of a coaching staff we have zero hope. That is supposed to happen when you know that your staff is on the verge of getting fired, so this is totally new territory.

I don't know what is worse, and we have experienced both of these. Knowing that you have no prayer of scoring, or that you have no prayer of stopping the opponent. Both are almost equally bad.

But, STILL, I don't think anything tops 24 yards of total offense, 0 points and seeing your receiver's leg break in half by the Vaught Hemingway turf.

I have no plans to watch the game at all. I will be catching both basketball games tomorrow. Maybe they can be competitive and maybe even keep the winning going.

Bad news. Excellence Fund doesn’t accept designated gifts. They’ll use your donation any way they see fit. And Bulldog Initiative will be corporate deals only. You read that right. We actually turn away designated donations.

No. I was not the slightest nervous in 2018 and 2011. I knew we had the W.

I want to say I'm not nervous this year. But as it draws closer I'm nervous we get embarrassed. Just play a similar game as we did at Tx and UGA.

I'm at the laugh at ourselves stage of grief. No nerves or expectations at all. Just get it over with and hope Lebby and Selmon put their big boy britches on.

I am not opposed to them using the $ as needed. I am just numb about football right now.

2008 is the only time I've never watched the game. That year I knew the outcome and was just hoping it was bad enough to justifying a firing. I don't think anything will top that level of apathy for myself. This year is pushing it though. I even sat through every minute of the 2003 game.

What's an emotion?

1st time since my teens that I have ZERO plans to watch the game. Unless the wife knows of a Friday dinner I haven't been told about yet, I'll be in the woods. Most likely in a shooting house until dark. After that, 1/2 hour to the truck and at least 1/2 hour home so it'll be half time at best before I would be in position to turn it on and I really doubt I'll want to at that point.

My neighbor was down at Tunica the other day (he’s a Memphis fan) and did a parley with State +26.5 as part of it. I just laughed.

A few of the OLe MIss guys at the gym last night said they were worried about it because of their loss last Saturday. I told them to rest easy.

I have been surprised by the fact that people who aren’t state fans don’t seem to understand how truly bad we are. I get things like “yeah, we were there during the Matt Luke years”. Shut up, Nathaniel Beauregard the 3rd, no you weren’t .
