I hate losing to them but I know the outcome Friday. Usually I have sense of nervousness because just the thought of losing the Egg Bowl makes me sick. If we win, I'll be elated but I have zero expectations of a win on Friday.
I'm not nervous at all, because as you said, I think we all know the outcome.I hate losing to them but I know the outcome Friday. Bad news. Excellence Fund doesn’t accept designated gifts. They’ll use your donation any way they see fit. And Bulldog Initiative will be corporate deals only. You read that right. We actually turn away designated donations.I just more than doubled my annual Bulldog Initiative now State Excellence contribution, but I may just focus on basketball & baseball.

A few of the OLe MIss guys at the gym last night said they were worried about it because of their loss last Saturday. I told them to rest easy.
We've actually been pretty good ATS this year against SEC competition. My neighbor was down at Tunica the other day (he’s a Memphis fan) and did a parley with State +26.5 as part of it. I just laughed.
Not nervous at all. First one in a while that I truly believed the outcome is a forgone conclusion and only final score is in question. Depressed is a better word...I hate losing to them but I know the outcome Friday. Usually I have sense of nervousness because just the thought of losing the Egg Bowl makes me sick. Can’t be nervous about a game when I am not on the field participating in the game.I hate losing to them but I know the outcome Friday. 2nd year of no hope after year 1. New standard around here. It's sad that in a year 1 of a coaching staff we have zero hope. That is supposed to happen when you know that your staff is on the verge of getting fired, so this is totally new territory.
I don't know what is worse, and we have experienced both of these. Knowing that you have no prayer of scoring, or that you have no prayer of stopping the opponent. Both are almost equally bad.
But, STILL, I don't think anything tops 24 yards of total offense, 0 points and seeing your receiver's leg break in half by the Vaught Hemingway turf.
I'm in for the first offensive possession for each team. TBD from there.Really have zero emotion. Probably won’t even watch it.

Don't mince words, Rabbi. Tell us how you really feel.Literally don't give a $h!+
One would think that since it's your money you're giving to the school, that they'd have to spend it as you wish. But I know that's not the case. It also irks me that they consider whatever you gave to sports last year will be considered a pledge for the following year. I suppose it's for forecasting budget, but it still seems presumptuous.Bad news. Excellence Fund doesn’t accept designated gifts. They’ll use your donation any way they see fit. Playing well and being ahead would be absolutely nothing like usIt'll be just like us to play well and get the hopes up during the game, maybe even be ahead, then lose at the last minute.
I'm not one of those that remembers every Egg Bowl game and each play over the years, but we kept the game reasonably close last year, and we've beat them more than once when we weren't supposed to. When we win it's usually an upset. However, up until recently, the players typically had a great deal of allegiance to the school and played all out for this game. I'm not sure that's the case now in the pay-for-pay and portal era.
