I don't know how to copy and paste, Can someone go to the Men of KSR site and bring it over here ?
It is from his Dads X account.
I have to wonder if he will be back after seeing what he publicly posted.
Thoughts ?

Pope has tried to give his son playing time and he’s been worst of the rotation players and it’s not close.

literally every time we put him in the other team goes on a run.

I like Jasper. I still see his potential. But he’s another year or two away.

I agree with you but you know how objective parents are about their kids, Especially when it comes to sports. He has wilted at times against strong competition

If his dad can't see how bad Jasper is and how he kills the team whenever he's on the floor, than his dad is dumb. Simply put.
If that was my kid out there playing selfishly like JJ does, I would shut my mouth and hide.

Jasper couldn’t expect much more playing time than he’s getting. He’s helped Kentucky for sure but has also hurt us in close situations that more experience would take care of. No matter where he might go if he does leave, no coach wants to have parents to deal with about playing time. Pope has give him ample opportunity to help and grow his game. It’s going to be the same wherever he goes, they might find that out.

Worse player on the team at this point so Cal would have never have even put him in a game
I beg to differ. Cal played Wagner full time as well as some others even though they mainly stunk. Wagner has only gotten worse. So Pope is doing right by Jasper rather than seeing the team lose because he is making bad mistakes. Work on improvement rather than deciding you deserve more when you clearly don't yet.

If his dad can’t see how far behind he is at this point, then unfortunately for Jasper it may be addition by subtraction in the off season. I do think he’s playing out of position cause anyone can see that he’s not a pg, he’s looked much better off the ball but he’s also light years behind on defense. He needs to hit the weight room like a beast and then work on his handles tremendously. He seems like a great kid and one of those who may suffer because of their parents and their mouth along with their expectations. Puts the kid in a tough situation for sure.

Sometimes parents can be some of the dumbest jackoffs when it comes to rationalizing sports with their kids. Jasper very clearly needs another year and that's normal. His dad is blind to reality. Jasper has been given more minutes than deserved at times and hasn't cashed in yet.

It's not the NBA for a few years, he's just to weak to guard anyone at this level. But he will get there with hard work in the weight room. To bad if he leaves.

Dad's frustrated. That's understandable. He believes in his kid. Might even feel like he's standing up for him.

Just wish these guys would keep their complaints off social media.

I think that's Jasper's uncle, not father.
His problem is that he's never seen Jasper as anything else other than a #1 scoring option.
I interpret his post as saying" why can't they let you be Kobe".
Can you imagine Jasper with an unlimited green light?
5-22 waiting to happen.
Derrick need to learn that his nephew is a role player not the #1 guy.
This ain't HS.

Wagner looked like MJ compared to JJ.

Yeah for 16 points while he has 7 turnovers and no assists while giving up 35 on defense. As others have said he has talent, he could be a really special college player at worst but he needs a year of weight and strength. He needs a handle and to learn the college game. He is way to wild, way to selfish, and doesn’t know a good shot yet. He needs to learn how to defend and gain the strength required to do so. He gets by off pure talent right now and that doesn’t cut it at this level. It’s not High School anymore. These are the top 1% and he wants to go where those top 1% eventually end up.

The tools are there for Jasper to be a really good player. But he has to get physically stronger and knock off the And-1 mixtape dribbling and stepback 3s

Other teams take the ball from him as if he were a child and he throws weak, lazy passes if he’s pressured.

To be honest, I thought Jasper would be a key rotation piece while Moreno barely saw the floor and developed. Turns out Johnson was closer to typical back in the day freshman as opposed to day 1 contributor.

He's a ******* turnover waiting to happen & almost every time he gets into the game something bad happens.

As a fan, I watch the games and Im baffled how bad Jasper is at this stage in the season. He's literally a 6-8 point swing for the other team Every time he gets in the game. WTF are you guys doing with this kid? Are you working with him at all Mark? Id be mad too if I was his dad. Who btw was the national player of the year in high school and led the SEC in tackles and sacks. It's not like he doesn't understand college sports and player development. But thats why he's mad. There has been no development. Id even go as far to say Jasper is Worse now than he was before Kentucky. That falls solely on the staff at Kentucky. There are some things they can't control. He's a small kid playing in a physical league but the mental mistakes he's making are coaching issues.

Thats his uncle and this is an old deal from the beginning of the season Not sure why it’s being dug up again?
I’m sure his dad sees he’s not ready yet but CMP still uses him. Probably told Uncle Derrick to stop.

It's either coaching or ability to be coached.
JJ has had a season of practices and games.
Many film.sessions.
I kinda lean it's a listening issue on JJ's part but I don't attend practice or know anyone who does so it's speculation on my part.

He looks like a skinny child playing against grown men. He MIGHT be a good player some day but I don't think it will be next year either. He is a 4 year player but I doubt his ego or his family will allow that at UK. I see at least 2 transfers in his future.
