We will probably end up 12th when everyone is done today. The issue is we are 9 strokes out of 8th. It’s going to take an under par day tomorrow.

Won't be 10th. There are 12 teams ahead of us that finished with us in the morning group. So 13th is the best we can do.

But we're already back up to 15th as teams blow up in the afternoon group.

You're right though. We're extremely unlikely to shoot well enough tomorrow for Top 8.

But you'd like the chance.

I’d think you’d want to be within 4 strokes to feel like you have a shot without something amazing happening.

looking more like 13th now.

if we match our best round tomorrow and everyone else matches what they shot today, we would end up 6th so there’s a chance.

And Ole Miss has dropped to last place. It looks like we are moving on!

We’re in. I don’t think it’s mathematically possible for 3 of the still active teams to overtake us.

And yes, Ole Miss will likely finish last. Ya love to see it.

Standings after 3 days. The top 8 after tomorrow will advance. We have our work cut out for us. We are 9 strokes behind the 8th place.

I hope that they know there are some MSU fans who are keeping up with their progress in this tournament. Where is this being hosted at?

It's worth noting that Charlie Ewing is going to lead his team to a 2nd straight Top 15 national finish.

And I believe they also just won the first team SEC championship by a women's team in MSU history.

Most successful coach we have right now.

Its at the Omni in Carlsbad, California. A really nice course and reward for a great season.

Our women's golf team has traditionally been the most likable, best student-athletes we have. They won the SEC Championship this year by beating Texas A&M, who currently sits first. I guarantee you after the last two SEC title matches, A&M does not want to see us in a 1-8 matchup.

Tomorrow its all about shooting Even or better. I think Even Par gets us a chance of finishing in the top eight. If we get there, we have a real shot to win it.

The #1 girl from A&M is -12 after a 3rd straight 68. Seriously good on an obviously very tough course.

Meanwhile Ole Miss just polished off a final round (their final round) 33 over par score of 321. The worst single round score by any team by 8 strokes.

The individual championships will be on the Golf Channel and Peacock today at 5 p.m.

If we can advance today to match play, those games will be on Golf Channel and Peacock tomorrow starting at noon.

We are first on the course today at 12:30 Central. Again, we need to shoot Even or better to have a decent shot at advancing.

Our trouble has been our fourth scorer. Julia is -3 for the tournament, Samantha is +1. Surupa is a respectable +7, but Avery and Chiara ad +11 and +15, respectively.

If you look at Auburn, who is sitting in the last qualifier spot, their best golfer is -1 and second best is +5. Third golfer is +9, so on the top three golfers we are 8 strokes ahead. Their fourth and fifth golfers are +10, which is where they make it up.

My guess is the cut is somewhere between +19 and +23. We are at +21.

We're off in Round 4. -1 early.

Remember, the key is to finish Even or better today. That gives us a puncher's chance at being in the final eight.

Still at -2 with our ladies on holes 3-6. In 12th place. There is a logjam forming between 5th and 10th (2 strokes separate)

We are playing well. Best on the course today so far. Need to finish strong - we've had trouble on the last five holes all three days.

I think the only formula today is Julia goes very low and the other three counted scores are around par. We probably have to shoot 5 or 6 under to have any chance. There are basically 4 teams as good as locked into the Final 8, 6 teams with good chances at the 4 remaining slots and 3 teams (including us) with remote chances.

It's unlikely multiple of the teams well in front of us are going to stumble badly, so we gotta make **** happen.

Staying relevant right now. Two under as a team and all 5 on the course relevant with only one player over par at +1. Weed and Ramirez at -1.

And there goes Julia. Birdie to go -2. Best team on course right now at -3. Pulled within 6 shots of 8th with a lot of holes out there.

Julia comes through. We are at -3. Six strokes out of a three way tie for 6th. Northwestern has dropped from 5th to 10th. As UCLA, Auburn and Oregon get going, you'll see at least one of them drop like Northwestern.

Even or better gives us a great shot. We are paired with Texas and Florida State, who are 14th and 15th, respectively. We have to focus on our game and not just beating them.

And, now they are raining bogies. I'm bad luck. I'll comment once it's done.

Watched Julia Lopez Ramirez's final hole on Peacock. Disappointing end to a good season.
