Meanwhile Auburn won a nat'l championship in 2010 and played for one in 2013. Penn State last played for one in 1986. But sure let's make fun of Auburn!

Meanwhile Auburn cough, bought, cough a nat'l championship in 2010 and cough bought cough some more players cough and played for one in 2013. Yippee! Good for them! Penn State last played for one in 1986. But sure let's make fun of Auburn! I'm not sure anyone is making fun of Auburn, its the coach and his head (yeah, I said it) assistant.

There has always been something about Harsin that I didn't care for, but I can't really point to anything specific. But regardless of the facts, IMHO a coach from outside of the south is not going to be accepted or successful in the SEC. It is a different culture down there. I suspect Kelly will be the next to learn that lesson. There may be an exception here or there, but not many.
What? Off the top of my head

Kiffen - Nebraska
Leach - CA
Saban and Fisher - WV
Heupel - South Dakota
Stoops - Ohio
Drinkwitz - OK
Pittman - OK
Kelly - MA
Beamer - Charleston but grew up in VA

Thats not including Harsin (Idaho) and 10 (or 9) out of 14 not from SEC states. All of those listed are loved by their programs. On the flipside….

Frankin - PA
Brohm - Louisville (Indiana border)
Pj Fleck - IL
Tucker - OH
Frost - NE
Schiano - NJ
Allen - IN
Harbaugh - Michigan Man
Bielema - IL
Chryst - WI
Locksley - DC (essentially MD)
Fitzgerald - IL
Ferentz - MI

Thats 13 out of 14 BIG 10 schools with coaches from the BIG 10 territory. Day being the only one out and he came up coaching Ohio State.

There might be some nuance to your argument but let’s not act like programs in general aren’t considering if their coach can relate to the players they’re recruiting. Even when Oklahoma joins the SEC that’s still around half of our coaches not from SEC states.

*just to note, I used to lurk on this board on rivals. You guys are strangely cordial with each other and I find that refreshing on a sports message board so I’ve enjoyed reading your discussions for a number of years. I’m a UGA alum that hopes all other SEC teams fail in every conceivable way. I’m not a conference honk but I will defend when we are discussed like we are some weird foreign country. And I have enjoyed reminding my Purdue wife often when UGA passed Purdue in national rankings 6 years ago, haha.

She’s cute but not attractive
  • thick thighs for her age
  • small boobs
  • ugly hair
  • wide hips, suggesting large caboose
Perhaps it's just me......I think one's time might be better spent on football topics. This is a very young woman. I'm wondering how many guys who wish to objectify her have daughters? She not an actress, celebrity or public figure. None of us even know if the rumors have a factual basis.

If we stuck to football topics only, this board would be like a graveyard during the off season.

I get it. I enjoy the pics and comments on actresses and entertainers etc. It just makes me uncomfortable to defame a 22 year old young lady, based on twitter bs. We all have had kids and Lord knows they aren't perfect either. Further more, what if the rumors are false? We lived thru the stories of Joe holding down little boys in the shower so Sandusky could rape them etc. This fan base should be better. Just my opinion.

I said "usually"

BTW can anyone think of a situation where there were public rumors of an affair that turned out to be false? I've tried to think of one and came up empty
If I say you are getting a bit too close to your Saint Bernard, is that a rumor? If so..........
You miss the point by a mile. If you want to go after a D1 football coach who makes over 5 million a year.....I might disagree, might not join in, might even oppose your points. I think (and I've stated this is my opinion) that smearing a 22 year old secretary, a year out of college.....mocking her physical features etc. is in very poor taste. Lord knows those who critique her looks are likely married to Miss America (or first runner up at least).
