Looking like Harsin may be fired soon at Auburn

If I say you are getting a bit too close to your Saint Bernard, is that a rumor? If so..........
You miss the point by a mile. If you want to go after a D1 football coach who makes over 5 million a year.....I might disagree, might not join in, might even oppose your points. I think (and I've stated this is my opinion) that smearing a 22 year old secretary, a year out of college.....mocking her physical features etc. is in very poor taste. Lord knows those who critique her looks are likely married to Miss America (or first runner up at least).
Agreed with all your points and the you, unintentionally I assume, call her a secretary.
Just as we don’t know the truth of what actually occurred, getting her current role doesn’t mean that she doesn’t deserve and perform the role well on merit alone.

Man if I was her I find some way to sue the crap out of them. Why not?
There was probably a settlement with a non-disparagement clause between her and the university agreed upon before they announced he's being retained.

That takes the humor out of it but you're probably correct.

I'm waiting for her to leverage this into pop culture stardom as she is quite talented.

Maybe she was retained after the investigation. harsin could have convinced his bosses that he does his best work when she is under him.

Maybe they transferred her to recruiting.

Seriously though as PSUJam said they must have paid her to go away right? What other solution is there when you keep the coach?

I don’t know if that’s the entire statement, but it sure sounds like there’s more to the story than we’ll probably ever know.

What we Penn Staters refer to as “Business as Usual.”

She’s still listed on their website, so assume she’s not “going away” at this time.

We are definitely missing parts of the story because that's bizarre.

Maybe we're jumping to conclusions. It'd be turrible if anyone ever did that about a football coach.
Boosters wanted him out and didn't want him hired. Likely they started rumours.

There are millions of reason he wasn't fired. Only way he was getting fired is he could be fired for cause without question. Maybe he wasn't banging her.

and yet it was all over twitter and other spots on social media....how could it not be true?
Or maybe he was banging her, but it wasn’t enough to fire him. It’s not like him being retained means we have definitive proof that it was all BS. Who knows?

I doubt banging his assistant in and of itself would be enough to get him fired. If it was, a lot of coaches and university admins would be losing their jobs. As long as he doesn't pull a Petrino he should be OK.

At auburn, he likely was rewarded for sleeping with her. Remember, if you ain’t cheatin’, you ain’t tryin’.

They just didn't want to admit they made yet another mistake and have to eat even more cash in the process.

They were clearly looking for a reason to fire him. Having a sexual relationship with a subordinate gets you canned just about everywhere in the USA today.
Wild guess here but she might not be a direct subordinate to Harsin. What you say is especially true in universities, so there’s that.

Who knows? I had a very good friend that coached the women's basketball team there for a long time. Let's just say that Auburn is an interesting place. I can't seem to find any references to Harsin and a possible affair with said young lady (whatever her title) nor the claims that his wife was having an affair with another coach. This all seems to have magically evaporated into thin air. Regardless, unless he lucks into an epic season, he's a dead man walking.
My guess is that he is retained due to the following:
The university president is retiring (that new president will bring their AD and the AD will choose their coach).
Auburn is currently paying Malzahn 21 million. Without cause, they would owe Harsin over 18 million. That's a big chunk even for the Auburn Alums.
The university used outside counsel for the "investigation." It's likely the outcome scared the hell out of the BOT and Administration (potential lawsuits).

Anyway, I actually rubbed elbows with a few Auburn Alums in '83 or '84 when they played in the "Kickoff Classic" vs Miami in the Meadowlands.
My friend asked me to meet some "high rollers" and take them to visit West Point. These folks flew in on their private jet. I met them at the hotel in my 1981 Chevy Cavalier station wagon then took them on a tour of West Point and later out to a favorite spot for a fine meal.
Knowing that I was a high school football coach, they told me about an "up and coming" RB named Bo. They said he was a good "boy" who cared for his mother. When we returned to the hotel they ushered me into a hospitality suite the likes of which I have never experienced. I was introduced to Pat Sullivan (Heisman Winner) who was there with the most beautiful woman I have ever seen. Soon "Bo" appeared in the hallway in a shimmel tee and shorts.....obviously aroused from a nap to be "shown off." What a great moment for me.....to meet a Heisman winner and a future winner all in one afternoon.
Nice people, but even then it was pretty apparent who ran the show.

Summary of auburn’s decision communicated to harsin:

“Coach, as long as you win a sh|t ton and beat bama, jump up and down on whomever you like.”

The new president is the current dean of the engineering school and has been on the Auburn faculty for 30 years. Not sure that he has an AD to "bring." He may decide to replace the current AD, but I'd be surprised if he has a candidate in mind.
