in most states 3rd DUI is a felony. So if you've ever driven over the limit 3 times you are an unconvicted felon.
My MO on this board is to wait for someone to explain my take better than I could. Well done.Gundy is a dumbass. Probably about six beers would have gotten Gordon to 0.10% and that doesn't factor in what he would have needed to drink to maintain that BAC over time. Plus, he is under the legal drinking age.
The correct response from Gundy would have been to say it's a matter which will be taken seriously and Gordon will learn from it. Sure, it's the canned response you'd expect but it's better than what he really said.
I hate you for typing that. It gave me flashbacks to out-of-shape dudes wearing stuff like this. The below photo applies to apparel only. Gibbs and Co., were otherwise excellent coaches. He was trying to make a point and just failed miserably at it. He's just a legit football coach from the 80's wearing tight polyester shorts, whistle, and not much of a brain. Sorry to the intelligent coaches out there, but you know the type too. He's got to take a course in coach speak or just let someone else put out a PR statement and refer to that.
You'll get a drink of water once we start puking!!!!!!I hate you for typing that. It gave me flashbacks to out-of-shape dudes wearing stuff like this.

I see Doug Pederson a couple times a week this time of year. Even if he's wearing high end golf shorts, it still looks like he's wearing coaching shorts. Strange phenomenon.I hate you for typing that. It gave me flashbacks to out-of-shape dudes wearing stuff like this. The below photo applies to apparel only. I have seen him pike a golf ball 320 yards. Dude crushed it. I think his kid is also pretty good.I see Doug Pederson a couple times a week this time of year. Even if he's wearing high end golf shorts, it still looks like he's wearing coaching shorts. Strange phenomenon.
Redskins brain trust back in the day. Joe Gibbs could coach but he was a mouthful of marbles at press conferences, it’s quite remarkable. Half of his press conferences were “You know…”I hate you for typing that. It gave me flashbacks to out-of-shape dudes wearing stuff like this. The below photo applies to apparel only. Please remind me what was said.Yeah, this is right up there with Paterno's comments on A.J. Nicholson before the 2006 Orange Bowl.
Lol I’m serious though. I honestly don’t remember.
Condolence veers toward callousnessPlease remind me what was said.
Well, that’s disappointing. I had no recollection of this, not a welcome read. RIP Coach.Condolence veers toward callousness

Responding to a question about Nicholson, the Seminoles' leading tackler who was suspended and sent home amid a rape investigation, Paterno sounded insensitive, at best, to the 19-year-old female who may have been the victim. Hollywood Police Department detectives said Monday that they continue to investigate.
"I don't envy Bobby," Paterno said. "It's so tough. There's so many people gravitating to these kids. He may not have known what he was getting into, Nicholson. Somebody may knock on the door, a cute girl knocks on the door, what do you do? Thank God they don't knock on my door. I'd refer them to a couple other rooms."
"You hate to see it; you really do," he said. "You'd like to see a kid end up his career (differently). He's (Nicholson) a heck of a football player. He's a really good football player. It's just too bad, that's all I can say."
A weird, random “Joe was a bad guy too” post.Yeah, this is right up there with Paterno's comments on A.J. Nicholson before the 2006 Orange Bowl.
It's very relevant to this thread, and I'm a Paterno fan.A weird, random “Joe was a bad guy too” post.
I never left town after graduation and it got a lot of attention up here when it happened.Well, that’s disappointing. I had no recollection of this, not a welcome read. RIP Coach.
I have an uncanny ability to block out unpleasantries. It’s a gift.I never left town after graduation and it got a lot of attention up here when it happened.
Not a good look for Paterno for sure. What’s worse is should have known better than to inject himself into another team’s problemCondolence veers toward callousness

That was a good meltdown. Jim Mora or Herm Edwards like! It's ok, because all transgressions occurred after he turned 40 and was a man.
I did. Never once. I am not a teetotaler. I drink socially but never more than 2 beers in an evening. At 6'2" and 220 it has never been a problem. Does that make me a saint? No. I have an addiction. Mountain Dew. I'm a Dewaholic. I can drink 6 of those in 2 hours.Really bad look, but .10? Yeah, look in the mirror everyone.
Easily. An all time classic. That was a good meltdown. Jim Mora or Herm Edwards like!

No, I have always been a Paterno fan that understood he was human and had flaws and double standards like many of the coaches that get crucified by the holier than thou contingent here.Joe hater?

OTOH, it was weird how in a thread which had nothing whatsoever to do with Paterno, you had to cite a tone deaf and irrelevant quote from him which dates back some 18 years. "Yeah, but look what Joe said!!" Joe was a big boy and took heat for what he said back then, as you referenced. The same applies to Gundy. Paterno was also criticized for a lot of other things but the man has been dead for 12+ years. I think for some reason you were itching to lecture us about how Joe was human. Apparently, a thread about a coach 1,000 miles away was the trigger. No, I have always been a Paterno fan that understood he was human and had flaws and double standards like many of the coaches that get crucified by the holier than thou contingent here.
