You didn't answer my question. Do you think your tax money should pay for universities to discriminate based on race, sex, or nationality?
No, if that's what they are actually doing. But you know this does not affect federally backed scholarships......only state ones.

Good. And if it's not what they're doing, then no big deal right? Just keep doing what you're doing. But obviously, at UF, something was up b/c they fired everyone involved.

It blocks state and federal funds from being used to create, support, and maintain those programs. It's not just scholarships. There are entire departments of employees that are getting paid to do this stuff.

Getting rid of the department simply takes the obvious target off their back.....and gives the politicians something to high-five about. Smoke and mirrors.

Maybe. But I think it's a stretch to think people lost their jobs for no reason, instead of the school simply saying "we don't discriminate".

FSU was sneaky about it. They just gave people different titles and took "DEI" out of everything. We'll see how that works out for them.

I don't disagree. It's human nature. Every human being alive has some sort of discriminatory aspect to them. How many short, fat, bald, red headed pharma sales reps have you ever seen?? But it also doesn't mean my kid should be passed over in order to hit certain DEI goals either. Not saying that happened, but it's a concern, just as it's a concern that coop pointed out earlier.
The NAACP can kiss my white ***!!

I absolutely do not like DEI. When I was working, I hired and supervised lots of people: Blacks, Whites. male, females. I did not care whether they were "straight" or gay. Their religious beliefs or non-beliefs did not matter to me. I only cared if they could get the job done. Why? Because my neck was on the line. If I hired losers, I would eventually pay the price.
That’s the way that it is supposed to be. It’s also what MLK fought for. For today’s liberal, it’s not enough.

A small tangent, but rumors floating that Deadpool 3 is reshooting scenes to add more DEI content. (For some reason, only in Act 3).

Ryan Renolds supposedly had to put a stop to an alternate universe, female wolverine showing up to one up Hugh Jackman, amongst other changes. Disney is still going through with other changes though (internet rumor, fwiw).

When DEI starts ruining Deadpool, nothing is sacred. :)
