This month has been very revealing. Coaches and kids should be lining up for the opportunities at State. at this point, its either my man James or NIL.
I think this portal crap is even shadier than the days we talked about bagmen and HS recruits.
Many of these players are committing to schools they have never even stepped a foot on campus.
I hope someday in the not too distant future a player that had been in the portal provides an idea of the reaching out he received after announcing he was entering portal. Sure ton of official and non-official contacts from entities.
Fans have always had the option to portal.

Would assume the position coaches and Franklin do the majority of recruiting with OC and DC involved mainly as closers. Also assume the D will be coached collaboratively as James said during interview on Friday. Same approach being used on O. Everyone has input, coordinators make the final decision with override possible by JF.
Ok lets agree that Allen is a high energy screamer that appeals to that side of the game. But look, is there any evidence that he could make the in-game adjustments that we needed this year? Would he have come up with something to counter Ryan Day deciding to ride or die with MHJ in the second half? ;Would Allen have adjusted to Sherrone Moore going "heavy" on the 3rd series? Sorry, that's how close we are with the level of talent we can recruit with this staff and I don't think Allen is at that level.

Anyway, if he did, its a bunch of vacuous jibberish. It is what it is - and you become "elite" by making the most of every position (including staff positions). Every staff position, if you want to be elite, lends a lot of positive to as many areas as possible (recruiting, development, coaching, etc)
Is Allen gonna' be the new DC? IDK.
But whomever it is, you want the most positive impact. In as many areas as possible (knowing that everyone has their strengths and weaknesses - relatively speaking)

As compared to non-vacuous jibberish? You see, it's either jibberish or it is not. 'Vacuous' is assumed when it comes to jibberish. Therefore, the phrase 'vacuous jibberish' is redundant.
Let's just agree Franklin has never made any decision that is to the benefit of Penn State football and has failed at all levels. Starting with his failure to blow up balloons at kid's parties and continuing with his play calling, hiring and firing of assistant coaches, recruiting/not able to recruit HS players and his management of the portal.
I think once we all agree on this, we can safely move forward in this world.
