did not notice, but it looks like this year was a record for # different QB starters mainly due to injuries. The secret to making the playoffs is keeping your starter, and/or playing against teams that do not have their QB. some are playing with 3rd or 4th option.

Apparently Trace is not in for Arizona - not sure if he was replaced or he got hurt also.
In any given year, only about half the teams have a bonafide franchise type starter. The other half is trying to develop a young draft pick or sneak one last puff from discarded cigar butt QBs like Carson Wentz or Marcus Mariota.
Why there are only around 10 men on the planet who can do that really well at any given time is one of life‘s mysteries.
Hint: it’s as much about system and talent surrounding a QB as the QB alone. So many factors introduce a lot of luck/risk.
IIRC Trace only started the one week because the guy ahead of him on the depth chart was in the concussion protocol.
I thought he replaced McCoy who was concussed. however, Blough was the guy they put in. I thought that maybe Trace got injured also.
