I appreciate Joe like everyone. He was a one of a kind, but those who seem to have a double standard for Franklin drive me nuts. Where were they when we were getting owned by Iowa and Michigan and losing to Toledo?
The reason UM has beaten OSU the last two season
1. They run the ball and are committed to it. They don’t run trick plays
2. They limit the number of possessions for OSU
3. They play solid, tough defense
Why with two all star backs does PSU not commit to running the ball? Why do we have no cohesive offensive philosophy? OSU has a good defense, but if we could just score two touchdowns today, we would win.

Paterno was owned by Michigan and Iowa and you probably were fine with that. Why is it different with Franklin?
It won’t matter much if Penn State can’t recruit receivers. Or if Franklin is making the hire.

Agree. But he also shouldn’t be asked to. Stover, maybe? Harrison should be covered by 4 at all times.
Oh, I’m not saying it’s practical to fire Franklin yet. They’re paying the price for Sandy’s buffoonery. But rationalizing that 10-2 and zero competitiveness with the big boys is fine should not happen at PSU.
Where are the quick throws outside with a blocker in front to try and spring a few yards? OK if we’re going to say we can’t get separation down field but we aren’t helping ourselves.
