Oh, I’m not saying it’s practical to fire Franklin yet. They’re paying the price for Sandy’s buffoonery. But rationalizing that 10-2 and zero competitiveness with the big boys is fine should not happen at PSU.

To be brutally honest, that’s been the standard for 20 years. Good enough to get 100k in the stadium but not good enough to run with the big boys.

I ran the numbers before but if you applied the CFP format during Paterno’s tenure he makes it like a dozen times. Joe stopped recruiting and was loyal to his guys in the 00’s and the program stagnated. Franklin makes infinitely more money and recruits better than Joe ever made/did and doesn’t have 2 NCs to give fans happy memories of seasons past when the team is down. Expectations are higher and it’s much easier to play for a NC these days. Franklin is alone amongst peers with zero CFP opportunities despite his record and accomplishments.

Not allowed… god forbid we put a great athlete on the field for 6-8 plays a game. That would stunt Allar’s growth which as we can see has been tremendous
