Lion Jim approves. I had the one of worst dissertation defenses ever.
To be clear, we’re expressing disappointment that clearly we can beat illini and Sister Mary of the Poor but clearly we still can’t hang with the big boys. You’re: “WE BEAT ILLINI!!” we are: “we‘ll never beat the big boys when this is our effort v Mary of the Poors”. So I ask you, do you get it or am I a Nancy boy?
White Out will be huge but I think we'll dust them pretty good to be honest.

You do realize that we don’t play OSU or Michigan tomorrow right? There are quite a few weeks for things to improve or change. So after 3 weeks you can predict how the next 9, or 10, games go?
Why play any games after week 2 or 3? Pull a sPitt and give us a national championship if we ‘look good’ against a Southwestern Alaska Tech, or hang it up for the year because we didn’t ‘look good’ against an in-conference team ? Talk about insane. Imagine saying ‘I’ll never retire because at 18 I have $50 in a savings account’. Yeah, things don’t change over time. Just give up. So many on this board are the most negative people I’ve ever heard.

No- neither are they. The games will be played when they are played, not yesterday. There are winners and losers every week, we'll see when we see.
I’m not sure the big boys are ready for us based on how they’ve played so far.

So then you feel that "our effort" vs Illinois was indeed good enough to defeat the "big boys"? Or does the performance of the defense yesterday not count?
If we beat Iowa we should be 6-0 going into Columbus. NW and UMass should give us time to work out the kinks.
