I was finishing basic training at Ft Dix NJ, March of 1974. Final PT test when a T-storm came through. Guy about 20 yards away was hit, knocked into the air, full somersault. Dead as a door nail. Lightning matters.

I loved how there was a telephone pole right outside the tear gas chamber door. Guys blinded by tear gas would run smack into it.
