Hopefully we get more of that kicking this year. We will need it in the close games.Felkins was 100% on FGs last year and 90% on FGs under 50 yards.
Fair enough. But. This board is loaded with Joe lovers. That's fine. However, the constant complaining about a coach most any major program in the country would love to have, is suspicious to me. He represents my university and team with the utmost class. His players love him and we are the envy of many. I'm tired and sensitive of the critiques because I feel that they are unjustified and tied to something unsavory. My friend, why are you so angry? I am a strong supporter of James Franklin. He was #1 on my list when he was hired. He's done a great job here at Penn State. I love the OC and DC hires. And I have no complaints about his recruiting. That being said, like all of us, he's not perfect. I question some of his game time decisions, such as going for 2 points o. The first score. I don't believe I'm alone with that criticism. And, IMHO, I believe we have not had a very consistent place kicker through much of Franklin's tenure. That's simply my opinion. And I'm not always right either. You can ask my wife on that point.

I agree. And just like our children, whom we love and adore, we can also be critical of them when warranted. I believe there is always room for improvement. I'm sure Coach Franklin is more critical of himself than any of us fans. Which can be healthy and leads to improving ones self. Trust me, I'm a professional musician. I am critiqued all the time. But know one is more critical of my performances than me. And further, I loved JoePa, but I truly believe that I was more critical of Joe than I have ever been with James.Fair enough. But. Being critiqued by people qualified to critique is one thing. Being critiqued by Insurance salesmen and shoe makers, that's another.I agree. Bill was 1 n 2s hs lax coach. Hes a fantastic man as is his brother ChrisTom Bill ftw.
Can football coaches critique insurance sales men and cobblers? We should make a message board for that.Being critiqued by people qualified to critique is one thing. Being critiqued by Insurance salesmen and shoe makers, that's another.
And ribbon clerks. Don't forget ribbon clerks.Being critiqued by people qualified to critique is one thing. Being critiqued by Insurance salesmen and shoe makers, that's another.
Reed was my MVP of the game..Reed and Winston are so good. They may be the best tandem in the country.
Do you have those two numbers reversed?Felkins was 100% on FGs last year and 90% on FGs under 50 yards.
Felkins was 90% under 50 (100% under 40). 25% 50 and longer.Do you have those two numbers reversed?
The rain delay, obviously, wreaked havoc on DVR settings.
Anyone have a replay schedule?
TIA
Nice to know.Bill was 1 n 2s hs lax coach. Hes a fantastic man as is his brother Chris
Correct…that was a legal play since he didn’t pull him down with the horse collar. The NCAA rules are pretty clear on it.That's what I was thinking, the horsecollar isn't the grab, it's the part where you then pull him down by it (which usually involves the defender dropping his body onto the back of the carrier's legs). That's where the danger and broken legs came from and why it got banned.
