Regardless of the outcome, I hope the check still clears for that one ref who marked the phantom first down, the phantom touchdown, called a very shaky PI. I mean, c'mon! The man did everything he could do. Pay up! Oh, and I think he has to split his earnings with that 'replay official'. Jesus!

We clearly have a great team as long as we aren't playing Ohio State or Michigan.

Carter had a mediocre game today. Where was Fleming? I think I saw him on the field today, but he was never targetted.

It is clear we will be 5 - 0 going into the USC game.

I normally tune out the announcers and never care what they say but watching those boobs is heavy lifting. I don’t care what they say as much as how they say it. Klatt deserves battlefield pay listening to that moron for 10 years now. I’d have blown my brains out by now. Compare and contrast say Vin Scully to that gas bag.

I prefer Klatt and Johnson over Musberger slobbering all over the sweatervest.

I’m not sure he got under the pads, just the jersey. I’m assuming that’s why it wasn’t called?

I assumed incompetence by the stripes. I think horsecollar is tackling using the jersey above the name line. It's like porn: I can't define it, but I know it when I see it. LOL!

I’m sure it’s all just a misunderstanding.

I was curious about the PSU AD who would sign a contract with WVU allowing their conference officials to do a game in Morgantown

The schools announced on September 19, 2013, that they would renew the series with two games in 2023 and 2024, one each in State College and Morgantown.

Guess who……. Dave Joyner.🤷🏼‍♂️🙄

So in the ND and Aggies game, Dalton Brooks of Texas A and M was called for a target hit on Nd's QB. The QB was sliding down and Brooks came in from the side in a sideways manner and had helmet to helmet contact, but on the sides. Refs kicked him out of the game for the target. It seems that it is truly a subjective penalty on what targeting is and isn't in the eyes of the referee and the review booth.

Can’t wait to watch this.
I could not believe it when he went lumbering across the formation. 15 had to feel like he was let out of a cage today. After how many years of being able to predict every play, it was nice to see. A lot of folks didn’t like the early going for two, I kind of did. Showed that everything is on the table.

along with some of our fans
You mean the ones on this thread still complaining about a win? Or the ones who won’t come out of the wood work until after a loss? Or the ones complaining about the school academic rankings in a football thread? Or the ones complaining about past ADs for scheduling today’s game? Or all of the above??

I was only able to watch the last 22 minutes of the game but it was nice to see that the passing game is now allowed to use the middle of the field again and not just for the tight end. The Pribula insertion for the pass play to Warren was a great changeup since his tendency is to always run when in the game. First games against someone other than your own defense are always gonna be rocky but seeing the amount of open space out there and the playmakers getting it in that open space bodes very well for when they can work the kinks out over the next few weeks.

Wrong about what my friend? Check the records. Jake made 49 FGs on 67 attempts in his career.
Yeah, and that's the 4th best pct (min 40 attempts) in psu history. Better than Bahr, Manco, Gould, Ficken. He was there for more than half of Franklin's tenure so far. So bad kickers are not typical for Franklin as you claimed.

What would be your evaluation of the place kickers during the Franklin era?

Kevin Kelly missed 29 FGs in his career at PSU. Does that make him a bad FG kicker? No. He had 417 career points. It doesn’t mean FG kickers were bad during the Paterno era either.
