The qb thing did FSU in, looks like. Injuries are part of the CFP selection criteria, I just now learned.
Roll Tide!!I’m good with the selections. Bottom line, bama can beat um*. I don’t think this fsu team could beat um*.
UM's offense was rather anemic. Of the 2 touchdowns they scored one was the big punt return, the other was the gift from the officials. For an offense predicated on a dominating ground game, they were made rather one dimensional.I’m good with the selections. Bottom line, bama can beat um*. I don’t think this fsu team could beat um*.
I would not put it past Harbaugh to make UM's offense look anemic last night because he knew that a FG only would win the game for them. Why show off everything you have and play your cards tight until the CFP games.UM's offense was rather anemic. Agree.I would not put it past Harbaugh to make UM's offense look anemic last night because he knew that a FG only would win the game for them. Why show off everything you have and play your cards tight until the CFP games.
the availability rule has always been one of the factor list along with unbeaten, conf champ, etc. No weight per se has ever been discussed that i have heard. The availability rule includes key players and coaches - anything that would change the team materially from the team that got the on field results during the season. Had Cardale Jones not balled on Wisky, OSU might have had trouble in 2014.The qb thing did FSU in, looks like. Injuries are part of the CFP selection criteria, I just now learned.
I mean, Michigan's reaction was kind of telling. They were hoping to beat up on a QB-less offense. Now they have their hands full.

Michigan is not great. Very good, but not great.I would not put it past Harbaugh to make UM's offense look anemic last night because he knew that a FG only would win the game for them. Why show off everything you have and play your cards tight until the CFP games.
Is Auburn available to play? They did not have much trouble with Bama. They want Nick Saban to win another NC before he retires. None of the teams on that list are going to give Alabama a game, and yes, that includes Texas. If they really wanted to see the best matchups they should have made room for Georgia, which is the only team with a legit shot to beat Alabama. I call BS on the committee’s selection, it reeks of tremendous pressure from advertisers and networks.
If Florida State got their 2nd string QB back before the playoffs they would beat Michigan, not even close! FSU defense is more physical and they are profoundly faster than Michigan on both sides of the ball.
FSU is pissed. They're really going to be pissed when all of UM wins from this year are vacated because they cheat. These things effect people's lives. Then Harbaugh starts talking religion in his interview? What a piece of .

I guess the smart thing for F$U to have done is have their QB opt out against North Alabama. He got injured in a relatively meaningless game at the end of the season. The qb thing did FSU in, looks like. Injuries are part of the CFP selection criteria, I just now learned.
Bama over Mich
Texas over Wash
Bama and Texas for the rubber game. Not sure who wins, as of now.
You can argue that Texas not only won the Big 12, but they won the SEC one year before even joining. The gutsy move would have been FSU, UM, Washington, and Texas. All conference champs and Texas has the head to head against Bama. As it is, the criteria for selection continues to move whichever way suits the committee best - it's head to head, but not if it's early in the season; it's conference championship, but only if you have one loss; it's hypothetical, unless your star player is out; etc. So happy to be done with this garbage.
I think the pitters played a large role in FSU not getting the bid. The 3-9 pitters have a horrible team yet they beat Louisville. They exposed Louisville to be an inept bunch. Thus, yesterday's win by FSU over Louisville was totally discounted by the selection committee. Also yesterday's game was not a blowout. I think the ineptness of the pitters played into Alabama finishing ahead of FSU.The qb thing did FSU in, looks like. Injuries are part of the CFP selection criteria, I just now learned.
Not even “gutsy” just the obvious and correct choice. If results on the field actually matter then that is what you go withThe gutsy move would have been FSU, UM, Washington, and Texas. Pitt lives rent free in your mind.I think the pitters played a large role in FSU not getting the bid. The 3-9 pitters have a horrible team yet they beat Louisville. The ratings from last year’s NC game between Georgia and TCU did irreversible damage to the selection committee’s ability to do the right thing, or as you correctly stated the gutsy move. Please trust me on this one, advertising executives and the Network brass put the final stamp on this selection. To save face and avoid serious pushback they sacrificed Georgia to push FSU out.The gutsy move would have been FSU, UM, Washington, and Texas. All conference champs and Texas has the head to head against Bama. And this is why a 12 team playoff will help a bit. NFL style playoffs. This is further proof of why people are willing to engage with and spend more for the NFL - fans know exactly what their team has to do to win a Super Bowl. If I'm an FSU fan and am told the main reason we didn't get selected was because of our QB, I would go full Milton on the committee....
Espn wanted to sticked to FSU as well, with all the crying about being in the ACC and not getting enough money- no doubt about it.The decision has ESPN and SEC powerbrokers written all over it. If the excuse is that Alabama looks like the better team now (after a miracle win over Auburn), then Penn State should have been picked to get into the playoff series over OSU in 2016. The decision is pure BS IMO where the ”rules” get changed for certain schools and conferences.
You may be right. I said to the buddy I was watching the game with after Michigan to go up 3-0 that might be all the points they need.I would not put it past Harbaugh to make UM's offense look anemic last night because he knew that a FG only would win the game for them. Why show off everything you have and play your cards tight until the CFP games.
I agree with that Ro.Bama over Mich

Penn StateSo if any of the four teams have a major injury between now and their games guessing they could be replaced by Georgia?
