I liked the post game interview with their coach. Seems genuine and down to earth. Found myself envying them.Credit to the Arkansas fans/coaching staff for not acting like a-holes every time a player goes down.

Things must have changed since I’ve been there.Tampa's a lovely city
Not happening.Hopefully a better performance next season so we all don't have to moan and whine!
You mean fake field goal attempts.Agree. You’d better score on those explosive plays because if you don’t and don’t have an offense that can close the deal (I.e., stinks in the red zone like PSU), you’ll be relegated to field goal attempts.
Hey guys! What are the positives we can take away from this game?
Onto the next 10 years.Too old to get worked up about bowl games. I still want us to 'be better', and not sure CJF is the guy, but out of my hands. On to next year!
Right on the money analysis.Awful. And I’m an optimist. I’m on here because the hubby and I are worn out bitchin to each other. I love Penn State football, but I’ve grown tired of the teams looking ill prepared and hapless. I just remember the past teams being sound...tackling, running routes, blocking.... these teams seem like they’re playing lot ball....just get open and I’ll throw it to you. They are gamblers... only going big or going broke. Sigh.... thanks for hearing me out. I’m gonna go make some dogs and kraut now.
He was never on the list this yearStormy Buonantony is pretty entertaining I think; some good info and seems fun/knowledgeable (also not bad to look at).
Some young players to get excited about and a few guys look poised to have bigger seasons next year.
Plenty of opportunity for some new guys to contribute.
CJF is not going to be at the top of any lists for HC jobs next year (that might be a negative... ).

What a JOKE great job Franklin, What is his Record now vs top 25 teams?Arkansas showed mercy.
"Explosive plays" isn't an offensive identity. Seems like the coaches don't have one. This offense is hapless and uninspired.
Ciarrocca > Yurcich
He was never on the list this year
Scott Bakula is very believable as a tough football player.
I'm positive that I've been trying to warn you people.Hey guys! What are the positives we can take away from this game?
Good PR team.Maybe not, but his name was at the top of every tweet and article dealing with the USC/LSU coaching searches until it wasn't. That alone is distraction enough.
His team feed sh*t to reporters and bloggers. It was never there. PSU took the bait yet again.Maybe not, but his name was at the top of every tweet and article dealing with the USC/LSU coaching searches until it wasn't. That alone is distraction enough.

Not sure other than Franklin's infatuation with Yurcich. Hard to believe it could be behavior or conduct since he's back at MinnesotaWhy did we fire KC? I think he could have put this product on the field.
He didn't see squat. The Pitt game was on at the same time.True, but still - distraction for team and fans and CJF (you saw this in real time after the Illinois game).

He used the media and social media to get what he wanted. It was truly amazing the names that weren’t heard while his was being blasted at full volume.True, but still - distraction for team and fans and CJF (you saw this in real time after the Illinois game).

They know what names to say to get the clicks. It's more proof the media (and I'm talking sports media here) aren't as tuned in as everyone thinks they are (or as they pretend to be). Riley to USC and Kelly to LSU were absolute shockers that no one was talking about (maybe Kelly, but not until shortly before news broke).
You sure about that? The distraction is real whether he's on a list or not. All this means is that it was self-created. Point is that will not be the case moving forward.
I take things in stride at this point in life but I agree entirely. Sick to death of this “chunk” plays approach. I wish someone among the talking heads on BWI will admit that the approach sucks.Agree. You’d better score on those explosive plays because if you don’t and don’t have an offense that can close the deal (I.e., stinks in the red zone like PSU), you’ll be relegated to field goal attempts.

Fairly sure, but no guarantees - for two reasons: 1. No one is going to believe CJF is a top candidate for any job because a) his new contract and b) he's underperformed big time the past two years; and 2. There won't be any big job openings unless something disastrous happens - maybe Texas and North Carolina, but of the jobs that could open (wouldn't include LSU, USC, ND, Bama, Florida, etc.) which would he possibly consider leaving for? He could be a fit at Texas - take Yurcich with him who has some ties there. But, I don't see it.You sure about that?
Yeah, but like you said, everyone would have called BS if they used those names.Yeah, but doesn't Riley and Kelly get clicks too?
Yurcich has a better more proven track record of high powered offenses. He's a great coach who has produced very high offensive outputs.
