As was stated earlier, PSU wants our money, TV contract money, and us to shut up and be happy with 8-4 or 9-3. So far, they’ve shown satisfaction with being in Tier 2, more like Tier 3, of college football.

I just looked up the 2022 blue chip rankings. We are tied for 12th best with Michigan. The rosters of both teams have 55% blue chip players. Over 50% means you have the talent to win a natty. The talent is there. The PSU players are very good.
There was a 3rd down play in the 1st half where he bounced it wide and couldn’t get around the corner. Then they showed a camera angle from behind and I saw what he saw. There was nowhere to go. A complete wall with no holes at all. I‘d like to see that angle more often. They showed it for a Michigan rb and the hole was huge.
That’s a legit question and may be the best option. Michigan did that with Harbaugh and look at them.
Seriously, I’m tired of getting beaten to shreds in the trenches. We have stud RBs and nobody to open holes for them. If the new AD - the one who DIDN’T sign Franklin to this ridiculous extension - isn’t happy, he should lean on Franklin and see who blinks first. There’s no reason a program with our resources should have to put up with such ineptitude and mediocrity.
Credit where it’s due - the man is relentless on the recruiting front, and has the cabinets full of talent (maybe not so much in the trenches). He gets the horses on campus…just doesn’t know how to train them.

I am not rationalizing anything. We got beat badly but a much better team than we are. So Michigan is a lot better than we are. I am just not going to complain and whine like a 12 year old every time we lose a game or make a bad play or Coach Franklin makes a call that I don't agree with. Grow up.
I expected Franklin to field a team capable of more than 2 first downs in the first half and maybe force them to punt at least once in the game. If you want to have no realistic expectations for the team, you go do you.
Saquon Barkley struggled against some good defenses, probably cost him the Heisman Trophy his last year. I guess he is overrated, too.
We have won six games. Michigan is a lot better than us. We got outplayed by a better team. It happens.
Too early to state that but he needs to start fair catching some kickoffs or give someone else a shot.
Franklin will probably say that they needed more explosive plays rather than admitting that year after year the defense has been unable to tackle and the offensive line cannot block.
