signed senior vp of 9-3I've been questioning him all day- but you can still revel in our defeat.
Its about the state of college football...IM 63 and cant imagine quitting on my team mates. I played competive sports as an adult and would do anything for my team and I had to go to work the next day!!!And I had a young family!!!plus my coment has nothing to do with the players on the field...That’s a broad statement. The players on the field right now seem to care.
Next year needs to be a 24-team playoff if PSU has any ideas of making it
It’s a different time now. The Gen Z group care about themselves first. Its about the state of college football...IM 63 and cant imagine quitting on my team mates. you seem confused- it's 10-3 for one thingsigned senior vp of 9-3
Great James Franklin time management again.PSU has no TOs left, so Ole Miss is taking as long as possible on each down
He is Penn States gamebreaker they need him on the field. HaWallace hurt again
If think so, he'll be the clear #1... but he might want someone else to draw coverage so that he isn't double teamed on every possession. After this game.....does Fleming commit?
Ideally, that would be great. But the academic calendar doesn't make that as easy as we'd hope. Plus, it won't end any of the draft opt-outs.At the end of the day there should be no movement from players or coaches until after the championship game. The NCAANEEDS TO STEP UP BIG TIME.
Auburn did lose at home to NMS... that's New Mexico State.Meanwhile Maryland is ahead at the half 24 to 7 over Auburn. Seems like regular season results mean nothing when playing in a bowl gagame.
That isn’t the debate. He said the players don’t care. The kids on the field right now seem to care.
100% AGREE.But thats not what the opt outs think. That isn’t the debate. He said the players don’t care. The kids on the field right now seem to care.
Agree. But that wasn’t the way your original post was stated. There’s 100+ kids on the team. There were 4 opt outs. The kids that played care. For all the crap Allar took here, he played hard until the end and was running the ball and taking some shots. He seemed to care. So did Singelton. So did everyone who participated.100% AGREE.But thats not what the opt outs think.
That’s why in season road-trips are the new bowl trip. Washington and Oregon are gonna be epic 3 day partiesWell, I'm disappointed, but my disappointment does not focus so much on the Lions' performance today as it does on what the CFB postseason has become.
The current CFB system, with most of the elite players opting out in order to protect their draft status, has turned things upside down. The postseason games used to be the biggest games, and the ones players were least likely to miss. Now, the best players opt out (which is perhaps understandable, given what happened a few years ago to that elite player from Notre Dame), and the team playing in a bowl game may be FAR less competitive than it was during the regular season. I seem to recall the announcers for today's game saying that the Lions had five (5) opt outs, while Ole Miss had one (1), and that it included Fashanu and both starting CB's. I'm not into offering excuses, but that clearly had an effect on the quality of the Lions' pass blocking and pass coverage.
I'm not sure what, if anything, can be done to fix this mess, but if I was a college and I was paying big NIL money to a star player, I might ask for a contractual commitment to play in the team's postseason game(s).
True.
You're right. If anyone cares to save the sanctity of the non-CFP bowls, they're basically gonna have to put players under contract like any professional sport. However, the non-CFP bowls will never die because of the high TV ratings that they bring in.Well, I'm disappointed, but my disappointment does not focus so much on the Lions' performance today as it does on what the CFB postseason has become.

They got that from their parents who demanded that everyone gets a trophy regardless of effort or outcomeIt’s a different time now. The Gen Z group care about themselves first.
Millions of fans 5 opt outs...those positions where exposedAgree. But that wasn’t the way your original post was stated. There’s 100+ kids on the team. There were 4 opt outs. I think a couple more played limited snaps. There were 4 opt outs. The kids that played care.
Yeah, we can put off the Beaver Stadium winterization as we’re not going to make the cut, let alone host.I have said repeatedly here this year we will be 13th next year, the first team out.
Wait for it.
What is the penalty if a senior refuses to suit up and play?At the end of the day there should be no movement from players or coaches until after the championship game. The NCAANEEDS TO STEP UP BIG TIME.

You are right. They did. Similar to Saquon in the Fiesta Bowl. But they played and contributed. They didn’t opt out.I think a couple more played limited snaps.
Pay the scholarship money back? What is the penalty if a senior refuses to suit up and play?
So they ask the NFL for a bigger signing bonus and still don’t playPay the scholarship money back?
It about Time.Well we all here on this board are not the only ones calling out Franklin. He is getting torched everywhere right now and rightly so....
Hopefully better than your jv drinking plan for today . 30 min Vodka happy hour , then lite beer .That’s why in season road-trips are the new bowl trip. Washington and Oregon are gonna be epic 3 day parties
