And Allar throws a bomb down the sideline, and it's an INT.

That should be the game

3rd & 1, and Oregon picks up the 1st down on a keeper.

That will be ball game.

45-37, Oregon.

I've got to get up really early tomorrow, so I'm not going to provide all of the after-the-game links I usually do.

Thanks to all that participated in the thread.

If you’re embarrassed then you should stop watching. They have put up over 500 yards of offense on the #1 team in the country and just pulled within one score. If you want to be negative, fine, but this has been a competitive game and this team doesn’t quit.
Your defense, the strength of your team, gives up 45 points. They make mistakes and tackle poorly. That’s an embarrassing performance. Do you think anyone on that squad is holding their head up after this game? If you do, then I have a bridge in Brooklyn to sell you.

Again, if you are embarrassed, find another hobby. It was a one score game against the #1 team in the country.

Terrible call, just horrible. You’re down by one score and you call a high risk pass play.
With all due respect, the call was not the problem.
Maybe the 4th dumbest play call in the Kotelnicki era. You had 2 timeouts left and the Oregon line was gassed so you could have still run the ball. Zero need to run that play.
And zero reason why not to try the play. Allar had a great game, but made a poor decision or poor throw, take your pick. There were other options, including throwing it out-of-bounds.
There is simply no justification for that call.
Taking a shot on 2nd and 1 is extremely common, almost to the point of being expected. On the other hand, as much of a gamer as Allar was for most of the game, the decision to throw to a clearly blanketed receiver led to the interception. 🤷‍♂️

Penn State is going deep in the playoffs. A solid team on both sides of the ball who came up just a little short.
It all depends on who the matchup is in round 1. This team’s poor D play needs serious work and the lack of discipline with penalties will kill them against the top teams (as it did tonight).

Allar played well. He’s NFL level thrower. Gabriel is effective college QB. Don’t know if his game carries over to NFL.

Best offensive game of the year.

Drew made a terrible decision on the home run play, and on top of that, the throw was terrible.

Would have been nice to see tighter secondary play, but if they play like this, they can hang in the playoffs.

Solace: it's not over. Jackpot is still up for grabs.

Probably the best the offense has looked against a good opponent in a while. The bottom line is we had to play perfectly to beat Oregon and we missed a few opportunities and had the two picks. Giving them the penalties didn’t help either.

Our loss combined with Texas losing made our path a little harder. The offense, though, should carry confidence into the first round whoever we play against. Tom Allen needs to find real solutions in the next couple weeks.

Best player on the field was the Oregon WR. He was the difference. Drew has to make plays, Oregon just has to find that guy to make a play. Too many penalties. That two point try and miss was coaching malpractice.

I’m not conspiracy person but there’s some weird stuff going on. I’ve never heard of expedited review

So they can get a quick score and 2 pt conversion to leave Oregon more time?
