Official PSU vs. Northwestern Game Thread!

While I'm in a bad mood, they need to get rid of this PA announcer. He's an embarrassment. I cringe every time I hear his voice.
Sloppiest game I’ve ever seen PSU play. Looks like a team who listened to the hype after the auburn game.
He's awful. Speaks way too slowly and over exaggerates every syllable.
Snapping the ball with 15 seconds left on the play clock....there's that attention to detail.
There’s the rub. The greats do both well. These coaches do one.
I've seen worse- and losses, too.
Quality win. Well-oiled machine.
Just come away with the W and forget this game. It was a sloppy wet mud fest with a lot of turnovers on both sides.
Probably better than 5-0 at this point (eye roll).
The weather certainly had something to do with it considering they haven’t been turnover prone until they play in a downpour.

I chose not to wait. The second half went easier with the aid of a Jefferson’s bourbon Manhattan and I’m not even a drinker under normal circumstances. But we’re celebrating my wife’s birthday tonight after the game.
I’ve been patient in saying this, but Allen sees the holes and reads his line far more quickly and better than Singleton at this point. With the struggles of this line in the past two weeks on running plays, Allen may be a bit more trustworthy when you really need some yards on the ground. Both are great talents and Singleton has the better speed, but right now Allen has better vision and cut ability.

Today showed why this team finishes 7-5.
I think that tells you that the defensive line and the depth of it is A+. There haven't been many gashes in the 5 games on normal running plays, only on breakdowns and the QB escapes. Again, the defensive weakness is LB coverage on underneath plays. A team with a good O-line can nickel-dime their way down the field with the quick stuff (Twerps come to mind) and give them trouble. There was really only three deep balls that got completed and one of those was when Carter got lost in coverage on the TD so defensive line and the secondary are in pretty good shape thru the first half of the season.
