Rose always plays good here the first 2 or 3 rounds. It won’t hold, but i don’t need him to win. Just top 5. Scotty going to win. Short game, putting, and fairways hit. That’s the key to success at Augusta.

but just for the **** talking, I’m going to beat the brakes off you all!! Boom Shaka-laka!! Gimmie my money!
Edit to read: “I’m going to lose, for talking trash, so talk crap while I’m ahead”

Little surprised there hasn't been more general traffic here on the Masters given the number of golfers that seem to be on the board.

So are we on team Rory or Bryson tomorrow? (or any closet Patrick Reed fans for a second jacket**)
Think I'll go Rory. I will say I'll give credit to Bryson for moving from a completely unlikeable weird 17 to at least a likeable weird 17, at least for me.

Rose's 3 putt on 16 was the saddest thing I've seen in professional golf in a while. At least when I do that it's not available for replay on the Interwebs.

And when did Bryson Dechambeau become popular? I don't keep up with LIV golf at all, and I don't watch you tube much. I never disliked him, but last time I checked he was generally considered a weirdo. Even though he's 10 under, he must consider himself +5 since it's a par 67 for him.

I'm pullling for Rory. I can't really explain why, but 14 years ago I was kind of amused when the shaggy haired young Irish kid threw away his 4 shot lead on Augusta's back nine. It would be really cool to see him get redemption.

I think it's the title line. Sounds like a closed conversation.

I hated all the LIV golfers but Bryson puts out a lot of YouTube content that's very good. It's definitely better than most everything on broadcast TV. His Break 50 series is great and when he was trying to make a hole in one over his house was hilarious. You need to watch him and drunk barefoot John Daly try to break 50.

The pressure on Rory to not 17 it up coming home might be more than he can bear...

Congrats Rory.
I’m still the president of the Tiger Haters Club, but I miss him. The lack of the clutch gene and any sort of player to fear makes golf less fun. Tiger was like the Yankees in the late 90’s. Made it more fun.

Thanks for setting up the pool - that was fun.
No problem, and I enjoyed it too.

I’m not sure how yall felt about it, but the one tweak I might make for future pools is to not make the penalty for missing the cut quite as severe. With the way it was set up this time, any team that didn’t have at least 4 guys make it to the weekend was completely toast. We’ll see, but it was fun regardless

I personally liked the setup. And not just bc i won. You should be penalized heavily for players not making the cut. But I’m down for whatever y’all want to do, but i personally thought this was good setup.

Yeah that is a big penalty - not griping at all, but my team would have been in contention for 2nd had I had my 4th guy make the cut.

Thanks again for setting it up and dealing with the money, I'd prolly play again

Rory just Rory'ed.
Is that a term people use?

The guy is 35 and has 5 majors, 29 PGA tour wins and 19 Euro Tour wins.
Over the last 13 years he has been ranked #1 for 122 weeks and that has come from being ranked #1 on 9 different occasions(so it has been sustained). He is 5th all-time in number of weeks spent at #1.

I wish I Rory'ed more on the golf course...I would still be playing!

I wasn't crazy about the automatic 80, but I do like playing these pools, so I am down for whatever.....One thing I remember from your old pools we did were our Tier picks were by world rankings not by Vegas odds to win....I kinda like the picking odds better....I noticed the day before picks were due, that Koepka went from Tier 6 to Tier 1....not sure what happened to make for Vegas to move him up....how did we handle it in the past when folks didnt have enough make the cut? I can't remember.
