I’d love to win this game, but I can’t feel optimistic about the matchup. We really struggled with the length of Ament due to not having Williams and Haugh is another level above that. I’ll be hoping for a Cats win but definitely not expecting one on Saturday.
That said, I’d definitely play heavy in the gaps and make Florida beat you from three.

Swarming the boards will be key. Jelavic, Garrison and Moreno are going to need to battle.
Florida does not shoot well at all from the outside. I would pack in a tight zone often and live or die with the results.
Have to come out the same way we did against Arkansas. Florida is going to live on the offensive glass like UT did. We have to make more shots from deep than they do and I think we can.
Tenn had 19 offensive rebounds. Going to have to do better than that for sure. For the obvious reason but also I don’t think the Gators will miss as many putbacks as the Vols do.
The number of putback attempts Tennessee missed, especially in the second half, was mind-boggling. Florida's BIGS won't miss them.
I would bigtime sag off Boogie Fland and let him shoot all the threes that he wants.

My favorite part was their bigs getting the ball with wide open putback layups that would turn the other way and pass it back out.
Oddly enough it seems Tenn does that a lot.

This team is bipolar it’s not even by game it’s by the half. We may come out and beat Florida 5-10 or we may also come out and get curb stomped. As a Cat fan I’d say we win by 2-3 at the end but I wouldn’t be willing to bet any money on that. Many Cats have said that is a very hard place to play with their fans. This teams gonna need to come out fighting early, no second chances for them, and take smart shots.
Floridas front line maybe the best in basketball overall. Going to have to really bring it better than any other game we have played.
Exactly, I wouldn’t mind Pope calling up Pitino and utilizing his matchup zone for this one. He beat a lot of better teams than his during his Louisville run due to that zone.
He played zone the entire game against Duke in the Laettner game. Why try to guard them, if you can't ??

With these two teams, you can almost throw home advantage and previous stats out the window. It's as close as to Duke and UNC as you will get in the SEC. A true rivalry that I don't think gets enough press and recognition.

That might make sense if they got points after doing so but that’s the thing with them, much too often they do not.
I don’t think they intentionally missed shots and gave games away to pad stats. They just miss a lot of short shots. Fla probably will not.
Yes, I think we have to play zone and force them to make outside shots. May have to keep mixing up defenses and keep them off balance. Would sure be nice to have JQ for this one.
Yep and on the offensive side we need to draw their bigs away from the basket as much as possible by spreading the floor REALLY wide and playing through the high post. Then drive it hard and aggressive to get their bigs in foul trouble on the help.
I think Aberdeen is the X factor. Does he come back home to Florida and drop 30? Does he come out tight and look like a mess? We go as he and Oweh go right now.
We need the team to let Aberdeen cook. He’s going to want this one. Florida is too good this year to go straight up we need to let them shoot the 3 ball and move or die with it.
