I bought a 1962 Chevy Impala SS when I was in high school for $500. It was white when I bought it and had black interior with chrome lined bucket seats. It had a 327 engine with an automatic transmission. It also had Cragar SS mag wheels. I had it repainted metallic blue. It was a beautiful car. I sold it when I bought a new 1971 Mercury Cougar. There has been many a time over the past 50 years that I wished I had that car again.
