It's even worse when the response to Gaetz's accusations on underage girls and human trafficking is, "oh yeah, well your side had a couple of gay/LGBT people serving in it!!"

The staff people I know that work for a couple different people in Congress (all Rs) don’t speak very highly of him. He’s a creep.

Just the talking points. I tend to roll my eyes at the “Russian agent” stuff whenever that’s trotted out. Tulsi is a little out there and is certainly a maverick so we will see I guess.

Accusations, that’s what they are. Thomas Massie seems okay with his recess appointment, and Massie is probably the most honest member of Congress. So I’m not convinced.

Your claim's timeline isn't even possible because Gaetz has been a known skeez for years now, so the 'smear campaign' is no different now than before.
Yes we get it. Biden checked a bunch of boxes with clown show selections for his cabinet. It doesn’t give Trump a free pass though. The ones announced today are out there.
So apparently, if Gaetz doesn’t get confirmed, he can still be sworn in in January since he was just re-elected. This is coming from a lawyer that worked in Florida State Congress.

I'm a three time Trump voter and don't apologize for it. These recent appointments are reminiscent of what ran me crazy during his first term. It just seems he couldn't stand for things to run smoothly and every time things did start to run smoothly he would tweet, say or do something to stir up a controversy. Is seems his appointments were going too well and he had to do something controversial . Crazy.
This season of The Apprentice is jacked! Can't wait to see how it turns out.

I'm old enough to remember a businessman with no political experience whatsoever was elected president and ran the country damn well for four years. I wouldn't be so sure about that. Better brush up on your recess appointments clause. By electing Thune as Leader, the Senate gave a clear signal that it will not be dictated to. Thune is McConnell minus 20 years.

If Gaetz is stepping down to avoid this “bipartisan” sex scandal investigation because it ain’t looking good for him, he avoids further possible punishment from Congress. But if it is indeed true, these allegations should warrant actual law enforcement, not Congress. What I’ve seen in trying to understand is the ”YEARSlong investigation“ was actually dropped so what is it he’s facing now? It obviously isn’t some “sex with a minor” or “sex trafficking” since the feds aren’t going after him.
He may fully be a sleazebag and it wouldn’t surprise me. I think Trump is as well. But I also imagine 99% of our elected officials are. Some just hide it better than others. Just color me skeptical after the whole Russian collusion and other hoaxes that have happened the past 7 or so years.
So basically, what has he actually done?
