The number of foreign car manufacturers that have put domestic factories in the US keeps getting larger. It's somewhat confounding to me that Apple and Google can't assemble some of their cell phones in the United States, but BMW, Mercedes, Honda, Kia, Mazda, Volkswagen, Toyota and Hyundai can assemble some vehicles here. Seems like with Apple and Google's market cap and cash position they have plenty of capital to deploy domestic manufacturing plans

Yep, the lawsuits are very well documented.

And I agree with you that whether they are viewed as frivolous or not is subjective and largely based on ideology/support.

I intentionally called the frivolous though because that is a term that the right has weaponized over the last 20 years to frame many lawsuits as BS, regardless of merit.


While ideology will largely determine if each person views a lawsuit as frivolous or not, what shouldn't be subjective is how we all define 'actual damages' when it comes to defamation, or the protection of free speech in news reporting.
These things shouldn't be subjectively supported or defined because each side is then putting themselves up for punishment each election cycle, depending on who is elected.
We shouldn't allow, or even want, a back and forth of whoever is in power suing media that aligns with the other side.
Maintaining accepted definitions of 'actual damages' for defamation and supporting free speech are critical.

With only needing simple majorities, they eliminate the Electoral College, pass amnesty for the 30 million illegals here, make mail-in voting the law of the land, and make DC and Puerto Rico states. My god some of the litigation filed by labor against big companies is unbelievable. I don’t know how companies in this country stay profitable. From litigation to government regulations to lazy employees need to be corrected.

We're not becoming communist or socialist. Who is scaring people into thinking that's gonna happen? I remember when some Americans were scared we'd accept sharia law when only 1% of the country is Muslim. I could see some left-wing populist emerge who has the loyalty of a base similar to the way Trump has incredibly loyal followers who are emotionally attached to him as America's savior and support him regardless of what he does.
