Hope to see them when we visit Jackson Hole this summer.Neighbor took some photos of moose in the back yard of my house in Wyoming. The shot through the window is from his living room. Thought some of you might appreciate images of some real wildlife.View attachment 182364View attachment 182365View attachment 182366
Just travel the Wilson/Teton road...you will! If you are there in June and going on this road into Grand Teton NP....look out the passenger window to the swampy/pond areas and you will see them in the ponds feeding. Just look for cars stopped.....Hope to see them when we visit Jackson Hole this summer.
Where you at Bones? Looks familiar to me, been out there a ton.Neighbor took some photos of moose in the back yard of my house in Wyoming. The shot through the window is from his living room. God's Country! Played Cedar Creek GC about ten years ago. I will stop in for a beer if I hit Glacier in September!Star Valley Ranch. 55 miles sw of Jackson on the Idaho border
It is a nice course. I’m only there in the summer and a week or two of skiing over the holidays until I retire.God's Country! Played Cedar Creek GC about ten years ago. I will stop in for a beer if I hit Glacier in September!
You’ll also find them regularly near the intersection of route 22 and the road leading to JHMR. That’s the same road that becomes Moose-Wilson road.Just travel the Wilson/Teton road...you will! Moose are my spirit animals…I’m simply in awe of them. That said I’ve hiked/driven all over this continent (east, west, north) over the past 3 decades, including many of the places you mentioned, and never saw one in the wild (saw 2 in a mom & pop zoo right outside of Acadia NP, but that doesn’t count). Not giving up my search, but starting to think I hav a better chance finding Bigfoot riding on a unicorn.went to Zion, arches, etc national parks a few years back and when driving around the park we saw moose, elk, etc just walking. Huge, magnificent creatures
The neighbor said he ran into a grizzly when hunting out back at the base of the mountains several years back. Grizzlies are rare right here but we get black bears and mountain lions visiting the community on a yearly basis. They are mainly spotted close to the trailheads or on the golf courses. We have not had any near our house. I did see a lone wolf cut across the field out back one winter. Looked like he was headed across the valley over toward Idaho.Great pics, Bones.
Those four legged girls certainly beat out the squirrels, chips and occasional bear on my back deck.
Is your location ever visited by grizzly or brown bear?
We see multiple moose on a regular basis in Wyoming. Have seen them when hiking and when we are out driving in the area. Once saw 3 bulls and 3 cow moose a short distance apart near antelope flats in Grand Teton NP. This was the first time in our yard.Moose are my spirit animals…I’m simply in awe of them. Go there frequently in the summer. The senior national park pass is well worth the one time $80 fee. Entrance to YS is 110 miles from my front door. Always take visitors there.Go to the Lamar Valley in Yellowstone in late September...they are all over the place. Along with elk, bear, mule deer, and bison....

We had this conversation. No worries. My place is in Star Valley Ranch.I'm in Lander. Where abouts are you?
yep, they generally hate dogs-they seem to regard all dogs as wolvesGreat pictures, they can be dangerous though. A woman musher in the middle of the Iditarod race had 4 of her dogs stomped to death by one the other day.
