Here are your misleading box scores....

UCF at GT...333 to 452 yds...4.6 to 7.2 ypp...even TOs.....27-10 . How in the world did this happen. Let's look at GT coming up (fired coach effect too).

Iowa at Rutgers....227 to 361 yds..5.0 to 4.9 ypp, 15 to 20 FDs..Iowa +3TO...... 27-10. (Iowa continues to pull **** from their a$$).

Miami(OH) at NW....278-364yd...4.4-4.9ypp...13-17 FDs..(+2TO M-Oh).....17-14

Wyo at BYU...271-526 ypd, 4.8-8.5ypp..22-19FDs...24-38 (BYU should have covered)

Ore at WSU..624-428yds...8.5-5.9ypp...Ore+1 TO......44-41. That said, Oregon had 3 TDs in the final few minutes of the game. WSU probably deserved the cover.

KSU at OU - 509-550yds...6.1-7.5 ypp..even TO......41-34 (KSU should have covered by not won)

North Tex at Memphis...475-334yds...5.9-4.6ypp....23-19FDs..NT-2 in TO....34-44

Southern Miss at Tulane...253-451yds...4.9-5.9ypp...13-26FDs....SM+1 TO......27-24

UNLV at Utah St...320-421 yds....4.4-5.7 ypp.....UNLV +6 TO!!!!!......34-24

Note - Oregon State -4 TOs and still almost beat USC. One of my fav teams to bet on, but may go against them this week at Utah.

Watch out for weather this week. I'll check back with a hurricane report.

Games that will be affected by the hurricane (80-90% chance rain and 10-20mph wind). Wind over 15mph is typically the biggest weather factor, but heavy rain and/or rain combined with wind will drive down points.

Tex St at JMU
GA Southern at CC
Liberty at ODU
UTEP at Charlotte
NC St at Clemson
VA Tech at UNC

I bet four of these and am buying out of three of them. Doesn't look like the hurricane will affect these games as much as projected.
Maybe I'll get lucky and hit a middle!

Muddled through a near even week last week. Try turning it around, though I was 1-1 tonight on Houston -4 and UCLA +3).

Ole Miss -6.5. I know the Levis hype train has too much momentum to be stopped, but I think Kentucky stumbles here.
Bama -17. Arkansas with a devastating loss last week. I felt bad for them. Not as bad they feel for themselves though.
Iowa State -3.5. What Kansas has done is impressive because it’s Kansas, but they haven’t played anyone yet.
Maryland -7.5. You can’t build a team from transfers annually, and this MSU squad isn’t good (and sadly, Maryland kind of is).
Baylor -2.5. Okie State defense isn’t up to the task.
Florida State -6. Another let down after a rough loss game.
Miss St -4. Vegas is just begging Joe public to take A&M. Don’t do it.
LSU -8.5. LSU isn’t great, but Auburn is actively bad.
Clemson -7. Lot of NC State hype this year, and I think they’re good, I just think this is where Clemson reminds everyone they still own the ACC.
USC -25.5. This a big number and it does make me nervous, but there are no signs of life for the former fighting Herm edwardses.
Stanford +17. Thinking this is a back door cover late.

Uhhhhh, UConn is a favorite.....on the road.

Hope you sprinkled a little on the ML (I did!).
It’s FIU…who also showed a pulse last week. I’m gonna be in Vegas this weekend and I won’t be going anywhere near that game.

An incredible 0-5 week last week. Made even more incredible by the fact I also bet the Clemson-NC State under, which lost in the last seconds. I will post picks again this week so that you can make the opposite bets and cash in. 2-8 for the season!

NC STATE -3.5 over Florida State
Purdue +3 over MARYLAND
Wisconsin -10 over NORTHWESTERN
BOSTON COLLEGE +20.5 over Clemson
Duke -3.5 over GEORGIA TECH

The best (or worst) part about gambling is that you can dust yourself off and get right back on the horse the next week (or next day if you're a baseball/basketball/hockey bettor). I like your Purdue & Duke picks.

Why in the heck would you want anything to do with making a play on the Wisky vs Northwestern train wreck of a game??? Not to mention picking a god awful team laying 10.......

Well, not that I'm playing that game, but often the best time to play a team is when everyone thinks they are god awful. Not to mention, teams often get a bump right after a coach is fired. If I had to play it, I would lay it.

Opened as -10 dogs vs Michigan. Bet down to -8 so far. Thoughts?
Makes sense and I stand by my previous speculation....
+7 at Michigan and -4.5 vs Minny at this very moment based on my own power ratings. No handicapping.

Is that a pretty typical HCA for college hoops? I'm sure it varies by team/venue, so I'm talking average. Has it gone down over the years like football?

Many will use 3-4 as a standard, but it’s a little smaller than it used to be.

Biggest impact moving from venue to venue comes down to elevation…it’s the one trend you always see when looking at HCA on a team by team basis.

It wasn't 0-5, but I continue to be a disaster picking college football games against the spread this season. 2-3 last week, to bring the season total in this space to 4-11. Another week of picks for your benefit. I'm heavy on the road teams this week, and we all know that always goes well. Fade them, and cash in!

Wisconsin -7.5 over MICHIGAN STATE
Penn State +7 over MICHIGAN
UTAH -3.5 over Southern Cal
Kansas +9 over OKLAHOMA
California -15 over COLORADO

That Oklahoma line stinks out loud. Sportsbooks likely welcoming KU money from the public.
Kind of like Utah, but would wait to see if -3 pops.
Also, there are Wisconsin-7 numbers out there, so you should look at other books if you haven't bet it already (although I would lean MSU+7.5 if anything).

This week's menu...looking to bust through that .500 glass ceiling this time:

UCF -23 1/2 (W)
Kansas -7 1/2 (L)
Lightning-SMU-Central Michigan ML parlay +124 (W)
Illinois +6 1/2 (W)
Illinois ML (W)
Syracuse -3 (W)
Coastal Carolina team total over 34 1/2 (L)
Penn State ML (L)
Kansas ML (L)
Tennessee +9 1/2 (W)
Tennessee ML (W)
Indiana +11 (W)
BYU -1 (L)
Oklahoma State +5 (W)
Oklahoma State-TCU over 69 1/2 (W)
Oklahoma State team total over 32 1/2 (W)
TCU team total over 36 (W)
Wisconsin -7 (L)
Florida -2 (L)
Kentucky +3 1/2 (W)
USC +3 1/2 (W)
Duke +7 (W)

15-7...that's more like it. OK State allowing TCU to come all the way back ended up saving the day since I had that 3-way over going.

I was thinking similar on MSU until I read this weeks article in the Athletic on their depth issues. Due to an injury MSU basically doesn't have any competent coverage LB's among other issues. Not a pretty picture of the MSU roster. So sad.

I'm aware. They have had some injuries in the secondary as well. However, this line has now gone from-7.5 to-6.5, which is a pretty significant move. Bet wisky at your own risk.

Bama, like the Cowgirls, Steelers, and Packers, are a big public team so when Young was announced as a starter, all of the lemmings ran to the window.

In the past this has certainly been true, but today, I'm seeing around 70pct of the tickets were on Tennessee. That's typically an indicator that the public is on that team.
Not to mention, that line got steamed up yesterday, not today.

We are witnessing a truly amazing run of picks. ANOTHER 0-5 week, and 4-16 for the season. I challenge you to find a more consistent college football prognosticator in the country. If you haven't been fading these picks, you are missing out.

Believe it or not (and you probably don't), I had a great record last year picking college games and made some good money. Maybe things will turn. I'm on a mission to get this thing back to .500 by the end of the season. This week's picks:

MARYLAND -13.5 over Northwestern
Duke +9 over MIAMI
PENN STATE -3.5 over Minnesota (sorry)
Purdue +2.5 over WISCONSIN
Kansas/BAYLOR over 58.5

Hmm, you should read my post above before you bet the baylor over. Risky.

Also, may want to check the status of tagovailoa for Maryland.
