Has anyone ever heard of a show called Yellowjackets? I think it is on Showtime. Is it worth watching? The people in work have been raving over it so I am wondering.
Season 1 was good. I haven't started season 2 yet. It's like a combination of the movie Alive and Lost.Has anyone ever heard of a show called Yellowjackets? I think it is on Showtime. Is it worth watching? The people in work have been raving over it so I am wondering.
I have seen the first two episodes. So far, it is well-written and well-acted. It has a bit of a horror-film vibe to it, as there is some serious blood and gore. It is not a feel-good show, but it is pretty good so far.Has anyone ever heard of a show called Yellowjackets? I think it is on Showtime. Is it worth watching? I’ve been rewatching some all time classic cable tv shows and currently on Deadwood. I love this show so much! Maybe not as critically acclaimed as others, but the characters are so deep. I guess it’s easier for characters to be interesting when they are over the top, but Al Swearengen is so rich. Some of the best dialogue ever.
For example: “You can't slit the throat of everyone whose character it would improve”.
Succession had a classic episode last night. Maybe the best episode of the series so far.

I'm 2/3 through and loving it.
It’s awesome. But, sadly a product of an era where if a show didn’t catch on, it was cancelled. And the budget for this show was really big which didn’t help. So, the S3 ending sets up S4 but there isn’t one.
Another great quote… Tom Nuttall: Those that doubt me suck dick by choice! I think I could use that saying on this board from time to time.I'm 2/3 through and loving it.
into season 3 of Outer Banks I am not sure how good it is but this one captures my attention while on the elipical machine

I'm watching and, while it is admittedly compelling, it just seems to me that EVERY character is an a-hole.Okay so drop what you are doing and watch Beef on Netflix. Insane, original, hilarious, gut-wrenching.

I don’t disagree. Bad decision after bad decision…I'm watching and, while it is admittedly compelling, it just seems to me that EVERY character is an a-hole.

I watched it. Found it interesting, and learned something like where were we? ( US not sucked into the war yet) researched a little and seems it was surprisingly accurateJust got around to watching SAS Rogue Heroes. Anyone else watching?
Minor spoiler alert, it seems the US involvement in North Africa was just beginning in the 6th and final episode of season 1. I’m not sure when season 2 is available or if there will be Americans in any of the episodes.I watched it. Found it interesting, and learned something like where were we? New Apple TV show based the Japanese anime of the same name - looks really cool (hope they get really into the weeds on the wine...):
“Drops of God” finds the world of gastronomy and fine wines in mourning as Alexandre Léger, creator of the famous Léger Wine Guide and emblematic figure in oenology, has just passed away at his home in Tokyo at the age of 60. He leaves behind a daughter, Camille (Geffrier), who lives in Paris and hasn’t seen her father since her parents separated when she was nine years old. When Camille flies to Tokyo and Léger’s will is read, she discovers that her father has left her an extraordinary wine collection — the greatest collection in the world according to the experts. But, to claim the inheritance, Camille must compete with a brilliant young oenologist, Issei Tomine (Yamashita), who her father took under his wing and is referred to in Léger’s will as his “spiritual son.” But is his connection to Issei only spiritual?
im not opposed to the premise but not sure my wine knowledge would be up to the task…
