Watched it also should be good
It pretty much had me when I saw it was being filmed in New Mexico and Monument Valley. Also that Zahn McClarnon was a lead role. Loved him in Longmire.
Very underrated actor.

We Own This City is a very hard show to watch. (Caveat: I watched the first episode in a hotel room that had HBO and don’t have the ability to follow up.) In The Wire and Homocide: Life On the Street you at least had cops trying to do the right thing and catch the bad guys.
Yeah, I watched E1 last night and it's off to a solid start. Has that "Wire" feel to it.

We Own the City - episode 2, final scene in a Bal'mer bar. Is that PSU playing Maryland on the tv?
In 2017, that would have been the infamous 66-3 game.

Obi-Wan series:
Snooze fest. Bad storyline, bad cast, bad acting.

Finally started watching it and am 4 episodes in. Pretty interesting. I live in Bmore and had heard rumors about some of that stuff and locking guys up for sitting on their stoop was a definite thing under O'Malley.
Yes that was the PSU game playing in the background.
Jon Bernthal has the Bawl'mer accent down pat. Give a listen the next time he says "Blair" road....LOL. When I first moved here I was lost for about 20 minutes trying to find "Blair" rd because thats how someone said it to me...Its Belair Rd.
Its not as good as The Wire but its very good.
Baltimore's Mayors, Police Comish and City Council have been an epic failure for a long time.

Finished S6 of Peaky Blinders - my spoiler free review is it's a little sluggish in parts with a bit of meandering, but lots of tragedy and of course, a lot of the Peaky Blinders doing what they do best. Some new additions to the cast - namely Oswald Mosely's mistress/fiancee Lady Diana Mitford (played by Amber Anderson) - are fantastic. Those two (Mosely and Mitford) are just diabolical; really, two of the best villains I've ever seen. Part of it is that they're so f*cking charming. Their vision for a fascist United Kingdom is terrifying and they are perfect adversaries/colleagues for Tommy. Still, the ending is bittersweet - some things are resolved, but much isn't, and since there will supposedly be a movie, I'm hopeful we'll get a 'true' ending to the series so Tommy can finally rest.

Still, one of my alltime favorite shows and casts.

Bridges is 73, coming off chemo, and he’s doing these intensely physical fights, over five minutes screen time. Good acting, John Lithgow really good.
The charactern in the novel it is based on is only 60, so Jeff is kicking *** at 73!

I'm enjoying Dark Winds as well @rudedude and @bbrown. Bought property in NM so I'm really glued to the screen - cinematography has been outstanding.

Just a good amount of spookiness. Outer Range was suspenseful, spooky and western as well but this is better so far.
Awesome! What part? I love the Abiqui area but am going to Las Cruces in the fall to look for possible retirement houses.

Sandia Park near Paa-ko. I like Abiqui as well. Haven’t been to Las Cruces yet. We liked Alamogordo, Taos and the ABQ area. Great state.

Obi-Wan had its finale, thank goodness. That was an unnecessary show. I would have preferred more Jar Jar!

Umbrella Academy returned to Netflix and I thought the first episode was terrific. It’s sort of the lighthearted side of HBO Max’s Doom Patrol (which is also excellent). If you’re not watching g Doom Patrol, Diane Guerrero is one reason to tune in…

Like watching a car crash I guess. Had hopes it would improve but did‘not.
Watched the final episode. I still liked it better than you but yea they don't need a season 2.
The light saber battle though was pretty good.

Dr. Strange dropped last night on Disney+. It was visually stunning but thought that the story line was hard to follow and convoluted.

Started The Old Man on FX with Jeff Bridges and John Lithgow. Two episodes in and terrific already. Also What We Do In The Shadows is back starting July 12.
Have enjoyed it as well and Dark Winds I believe is the other I recently started.

The Bear, FX/HULU. About a young chef taking over his dead brother’s Italian beef restaurant in Chicago. Half hour episodes, great acting and killer soundtrack.

Unfortunately, she's pretty dumpy in that series.

And she's also the "victim" of what I consider to be, perhaps, more annoying than car chases ... and that's turning "fighting within one's own mind" into actual acted out narrative. Otherwise, Doom Patrol is excellent, can't miss TV.

Umbrella Academy is OK. We haven't finished the third season yet ... almost, but not quite ... I just find myself legitimately not liking most of the characters. And, I'm just not buying the whole Ellen/Elliot Venya/Victor thing. Sorry. She went from a whiny grown woman to an 11 year old tiny boy who acts just like a whiny grown woman? I dunno ... it's not like she was acting like a masculine woman before, and now that she "transitioned," you get it ... she was like the ultimate overly-feministic tiny emo lesbian chick prior and it's virtually impossible to envision her as a dude. It's like trying to watch Dwayne Johnson wearing a wig of long hair, but acting like an over-the-top tough guy, and having him claim he's a chick.

C’mon - Klaus is likable! Don’t disagree with much you wrote, but I’m a lot more lenient than you it seems ;).

We started the fourth season of Mrs. Maisel and the first seasons of Yellowstone and the French spy show ‘The Bureau’ this weekend. All very good (was surprised and how much I liked Yellowstone - it has a big, impressive cast and they don’t focus on Costner which I like). But, The Bureau is excellent - sort of like French Homeland with less jazz and nervous breakdowns (and multiple storylines happening at once). Highly recommend all three (The Bureau is on AMC+ or you can buy on Amazon or Apple).

I just started Yellowstone this week. Pretty good show. I'm about to finish season one.

I’m enjoying Blackbird on Apple TV with Taron Egerton, Ray Liotta, Greg Kinnear, and, as the serial killer, Paul Walter Hauser (Richard Jewell movie). Based on a true story about a drug dealer who gets an opportunity for release by going into a forensic prison to try and get the goods on a possible serial killer.

for the wrestlers on board or the board, I've been watching Team Foxcatcher which is different from the movie. This is a documentary, with interviews of the real people involved. DuPont, Schultz, his wife etc. Really interesting especially if you like college/Olympic wrestling at all.
