If they weren't broken in the dismantling process. At the least, all of Joe's lettermen should be honored with bricks in the plaza courtesy of Penn State, if they choose.

My understanding is the way they were crowbarred off the wall, most were broken or destroyed. Whether or not they are sitting in some warehouse or were thrown away, who knows. Given the state of them, does not really matter as they couldn’t be reused.
And the new ones are planned to not have the name of the coach? screw these people

The alumni who were around early on Joe's career as HC are now in their early to late 70s (don't view ask me how I know). This all looks like an attempt to get that group to donate again, or better yet in the University's view, even get some wills rewritten.

Those wills have been re-written once. Gonna take an awful lot more to get them redone again.

Well I think (hope) we have the right AD now in place to help drive an official ceremony to recognize Joe and his contributions. We also now have a president that was not here during Joe or right after so I am hopeful she is willing to listen and push this over the finish line as well. Would like to see this happen while Sue is still around. The biggest obstacle will be the push back by the media including ESPN and CNN (Sara). The president and AD will have to be willing to withstand that blowback and flip them the bird once and for all. Are they willing to do that we shall see....
I know of two cases in which PSU was written out of wills and the school has, unsuccessfully, tried to have those decisions reversed. Neither are trivial.
They already have those in the lots, appropriately named in his honor.
As long as it can count on people like you to make up the money from donors it has alienated. When can they expect the first seven-figure check from you?

So you don't think that PSU deserves generosity? I'll have to reconsider the amount.
You need to re-evaluate your giving and really give. Make a difference. Take out a HELOC if necessary and sign over a big fat check.
Incorrect. In a large way. It has been discussed here constantly. Do some research and go back and read through those threads about what alumni are asking. In reality it's not much unfortunately people like you never want to admit you and administration were wrong on the record in public.
You mean the thread asking for:
The statue
The field being named after Joe
A big celebrate Joes life and career event before or after a game
A public apology to alumni and the Paternos at a PC
The only place it’s discussed is this echo chamber.
