Incorrect. In a large way. It has been discussed here constantly. Do some research and go back and read through those threads about what alumni are asking. In reality it's not much unfortunately people like you never want to admit you and administration were wrong on the record in public.
Give a succinct, yet detailed, bullet point rundown of all the things PSU would need to do in order to regain your charity?

We'll have all the other JoePa related withholders do the same. At the end, we'll compile the list. Deal?

Go back and read it in numerous threads. Many have listed the same few things as me. Doesn't take much to find it.

You mean the thread asking for:

The statue
The field being named after Joe
A big celebrate Joes life and career event before or after a game
A public apology to alumni and the Paternos at a PC

The only place it’s discussed is this echo chamber.
Don't be so sure on that it's only being discussed here.

Hmm, you don't say. Maybe Brandon Short has been lying all this time when stating the bot knows it is costing them big bucks.

Man I misread this thread title. I thought we were getting a new pizza joint at the stadium. Extremely disappointed

The question was whether you could make up the difference of at least a couple of alums who were appalled by the bot's actions.
I’m not super rich, so probably not. Is that what you wanted?

It’s really something to be proud of that this group of alums you speak of have actively decided since 2011 to no longer support PSU football and athletics. As I said prior, I’m sure this is exactly what JVP would want.

So, then, nothing. You could have typed out your demands in the time it took you to respond, twice, telling people to go find it.

I couldn't find it ... I'm not sifting through hundreds of your posts, trying to compile what you could easily type out in seconds.

It’s a football stadium. It would be The Hut, Papa John’s, or similar dreck.

How do you know what Joe would want? Are you related to him? Were you a close confidant? How many times did you meet Joe and ponder what amounts people should give?

I mean, anyone with a brain cell could figure out that JVP wouldn’t want people punishing the very program he made his life’s work.

I have already done that in a previous thread.....do you think we will change our minds if you ask enough? I have been told time and again to go away by the new majority of youth.....so why is there a discussion for what the old, crustie alumni want.....the New Kids on the Block will donate plenty.

Cool. I only asked once. For me, PSU was about the experience I had there, and now it's about the experiences that others may have after me. But, for you, it may be about a football coach. You stay bitter, my friend.

A lot of cheapskates wouldn’t be giving anyway and are just looking for an excuse. They hurt the program and will then complain when it fails due to lack of funds. Pony up or STFU.

If you actually think his major contribution was being a football coach, you're dumber than I realized you were.
So, then ... you're sticking with holding grudges about a football coach is supposed to be on the "right" side of the ledger of how we should act as humans?

straw man- don't act like you are really that stupid - or are you really that stupid?
There are plenty of folks who do a great job of teaching and guiding young men. There are plenty of folks who are charitable. None get near the reverence of the ole football coach. The treatment of those folks certainly wouldn’t sway you to not give to the entirety of an educational institution. You can be dishonest with me, just don’t be dishonest with yourself.

Given that my wife and I have endowed a conservation fund at another institution (not a university), money that would have gone to endowing a scholarship before the events of a decade ago, you are mistaken. And it's not about Joe. He's dead and buried. It's about the alumni being thrown under the bus--with no apology ever given. It's also about an Alumni Association that has concentrated power in the hands of a select few--no others need apply--and getting rid of normal rules of organizations like Robert's Rules of Order. I don't trust them to spend my donations wisely.

They have withheld their donations until some unknown demands are met re a former football coach.
Weren’t you the beneficiary, albeit questionably earned, of a “free and full ride” baseball scholarship at PSU?

It seems someone like you would be more appreciative and financially reciprocative towards the university that effectively “made you”.

It doesn’t surprise me that you’re a “net taker”

Well I think (hope) we have the right AD now in place to help drive an official ceremony to recognize Joe and his contributions. We also now have a president that was not here during Joe or right after so I am hopeful she is willing to listen and push this over the finish line as well. Would like to see this happen while Sue is still around. The biggest obstacle will be the push back by the media including ESPN and CNN (Sara). The president and AD will have to be willing to withstand that blowback and flip them the bird once and for all. Are they willing to do that we shall see....

You're not making any sense, as usual. If I were going to argue for a position, it would be that withholding donations based on their affinity for an ex-football coach, and his alleged mistreatment, is NOT a good move.

Well, that's not the reason a lot of people are giving here. At this point, for me, it has nothing to do with Joe. It has a lot more to do with the mismanagement at the university as a whole. I'm hoping the new president will bring about some needed changes.

Bob:

FYI

A woman from London spent 10 years sampling scones at hundreds of historic sites across the UK. She finished her quest at the Giant’s Causeway in Northern Ireland, where the scone was so good that she went back the next day for another. [From New York Times to which I don’t subscribe]
