Go back and read it in numerous threads. Many have listed the same few things as me. Doesn't take much to find it.
Don't be so sure on that it's only being discussed here.
Or that the concerns of those withholding money are limited to the way Joe was treated.
The question was whether you could make up the difference of at least a couple of alums who were appalled by the bot's actions.

It’s really something to be proud of that this group of alums you speak of have actively decided since 2011 to no longer support PSU football and athletics. As I said prior, I’m sure this is exactly what JVP would want.
So, then, nothing. You could have typed out your demands in the time it took you to respond, twice, telling people to go find it.

How do you know what Joe would want? Are you related to him? Were you a close confidant? How many times did you meet Joe and ponder what amounts people should give?
I mean, anyone with a brain cell could figure out that JVP wouldn’t want people punishing the very program he made his life’s work.
I have already done that in a previous thread.....do you think we will change our minds if you ask enough? I have been told time and again to go away by the new majority of youth.....so why is there a discussion for what the old, crustie alumni want.....the New Kids on the Block will donate plenty.

Sounds like the bot is the one punishing the program by refusing to listen to its customers. Joe never deliberately pissed off his customers because Joe understood not to.
There is right and there is wrong. If you don't know the difference, that's your problem.
Cool. I only asked once. For me, PSU was about the experience I had there, and now it's about the experiences that others may have after me. But, for you, it may be about a football coach. You stay bitter, my friend.
If they're cheapskates to begin with, don't see that the program will be missing their contributions much.
If you actually think his major contribution was being a football coach, you're dumber than I realized you were.

Oh i'm not bitter....simply following your wishes...i just give my money to our local Aiken/Augusta PSU Alumni Chapter....we award 4 scholarships to local students attending PSU. ...much better use of funds

There are plenty of folks who do a great job of teaching and guiding young men. There are plenty of folks who are charitable. None get near the reverence of the ole football coach. The treatment of those folks certainly wouldn’t sway you to not give to the entirety of an educational institution. You can be dishonest with me, just don’t be dishonest with yourself.

Given that my wife and I have endowed a conservation fund at another institution (not a university), money that would have gone to endowing a scholarship before the events of a decade ago, you are mistaken. And it's not about Joe. He's dead and buried. It's about the alumni being thrown under the bus--with no apology ever given. It's also about an Alumni Association that has concentrated power in the hands of a select few--no others need apply--and getting rid of normal rules of organizations like Robert's Rules of Order. I don't trust them to spend my donations wisely.
They have withheld their donations until some unknown demands are met re a former football coach.
Weren’t you the beneficiary, albeit questionably earned, of a “free and full ride” baseball scholarship at PSU?
It seems someone like you would be more appreciative and financially reciprocative towards the university that effectively “made you”.

Actually, it isn’t so much about a football coach, it’s about an injustice.
until changes are made, what PSU did to Paterno, could happen to anyone, Franklin included. This is, in part, why people don’t trust their money will be well spent and hold back.
You're not making any sense, as usual. If I were going to argue for a position, it would be that withholding donations based on their affinity for an ex-football coach, and his alleged mistreatment, is NOT a good move.
Well, that's not the reason a lot of people are giving here. At this point, for me, it has nothing to do with Joe. It has a lot more to do with the mismanagement at the university as a whole. I'm hoping the new president will bring about some needed changes.
