I'm setting this up several hours in advance, so that everyone has the details.

Please use the thread for all pre-match, in-match, and post-match discussion for the PSU - Ohio State dual.

When:
Feb. 3, 7:00 pm EST

Where:
Covelli Center, Columbus, OH

TV:
The Big Ten Network (BTN) is broadcasting the match

Video Streaming:
Nothing, unless you have BTN as part of your cable package, and then you can stream it via the FoxSportsApp

Audio Streaming:
The radio PBP, with Jeff Byers at the mic, will be streamed for free. The pre-match portion of the broadcast will begin at 6:40 pm EST, with the actual dual taking place at 7:00 pm EST. You can access the audio stream at:

I should be good to provide PBP. As always, I welcome anyone that wants to join in the discussion and analysis of the matches. As a heads up, I'll be reffing a tournament all day on Sunday, so I'm out for PBP for Indiana.

I posted this beneath my tOSU picks in KYPSW:

"another tough one to predict. Several matches are on the edge between DEC and MAJ, and a few DEC could go the other way"

I stand by that. It could be a blowout, it could be a close dual, or PSU could win comfortably in the team score, but have a lot of close decisions. It should be an entertaining dual.

No and he’s not on any of the WOWY radio stations, but Hockey is on 103.1 even though they announced the lead in at 6:40 as Wrestling

edit—- now there’s silence at 103.1

I almost sent them (PSU Athletics) a message this week, to encourage them to not have a repeat of the mess with the audio stream that they had with Iowa. I decided not to do so -- I figured that it was obvious, and that they would know to correct the issue. smh

I think it is a bad look. A lot of fans, recruits, potential recruits and coaches could be listening. #1 program in the nation but can't figure out how to stream audio.

Now on fear at 103.1. I wonder if it is an Ironhead issue. Back when he was on the radio, he always had a lot of technical difficulties whenever Kevin Nelson was on vacation.

125: Gary Steen vs. Malik Heinselman (MH)

Per 1
MH ini on a low ankle, Steen tries to role through, but MH gets the early TD, 0-2. Steen is flattened pretty quickly. He works up to his base, and then flattened, and then a bow and arrow by HM and 4 NF before Steen is back to his stomach, 0-6. Stall warning on Steen. Another bow and arrow, and the pin @ 1:56 for MH

133: RBY vs. Jesse Mendez (JM)

4X Arizona State Champ vs. 4X Indiana State Champ

Per 1
Lots of hand and head fighting. Then JM with a Russian Tie, but nothing thru 1 min. Nothing thru 2 min. RBY in on a head inside (to an outside) single and gets the TD, 2-0. JM sits out, RBY stays with him, and they go OOB with 13 sec left. End. RT @ 33 sec for RBY

Per 2
JM takes bottom. JM to his feet, returned with a whizzer by JM and he works free after they hit the mat, 2-1. JM likes to tie up a lot, which is slowing down RBY's offense. RBY with a shrug by and gets a late TD, 4-1. JM to his feet, returned. End. RT @ 1:01 for RBY

Per 3
RBY takes bottom. He's out in @ 12 sec, 5-1. RT down to 49 sec for RBY. RBY with a head snap to a single, and he gets the TD on the edge, 7-1. OOB with 1:10 left. JM to his feet, and RT goes over 1 min, and RBY cuts him, 7-2. JM with his 1st shot, and nearly gets hit with a headlock, nothing. RBY in but stopped by a whizzer. RBY tries an inside trip but the buzzer sounds. With 1:04 in RT, it's an 8-2 DEC for RBY

Tan Tom continues to be an unlikeable cat. He’s pumping fists, mashing teeth and high fiving when his heavily favored senior pins the underdog freshman. He really is tone deaf.

141: Beau Bartlett vs. Dyla D'Emilio (DD)

4X National Prep Champ vs. 4X Ohio Champion

Per 1
Lots of collar ties, but no shots thru 1st minute. Beau reaches for a single, nothing (I think he had a chance there, but he didn't commit to it). Beau with a head outside single to a duck/spin behind for a TD, 2-0. Beau quickly flattens him. DD works up to his base. DD to his feet, returned. OOB with 28 sec left, and RT at 1 min for Beau. DD to his feet, lifted and returned. DD back to his feet, and a stall warning on Beau. They are on the edge, and that's the END. RT @ 1:26 for Beau.

Per 2
DD takes bottom. He's up quickly and out in 4 sec, 2-1. DD sort of shoots, nothing. 1 min left. Collar ties again. Beau with a head inside single, DD with a whizzer, and DD works out of it. End. RT @ 1:30 for Beau

Per 3
Beau takes bottom. BB to his feet and he's out in 8 sec, 3-1. Stall warning on DD. DD with a shot for a double, Beau with a whizzer, and Beau works out of it. DD sort of shoots, nothing. Stoppage for ?? with @ 1 min left. Beau with a head inside single, DD sprawls, and a stalemate with 35 sec left. DD reaches, nothing. DD with a shot, and a stall cal on Beau, makes it 3-2. DD reaches,Beau sprawls, End. With 1:22 in RT, it's a 4-2 DEC for Beau

Not overly impressive from Bartlett but a good win. Could’ve used a bit more offense, didn’t seem too interested in pushing D’amelio

Gotta finish on Sammy really quick. Has great defense that he converts to offense.
