I think it's all about the numbers; the only guaranteed spots are the five highest ranked conference champions. That leaves seven other slots. What is the lowest Penn State could finish in the B1G and still get a spot?
Yes. Trust me. I am prescient.
So, does Penn State win the B1G in this scenario?
When the playoff has 12 teams, Penn State will finish 13th. When it goes to 16 teams, Penn State will finish 17th. Franklin will engineer it this way to spite us.
Seven months from now all we will be talking about on this board is Allar's breakout season and Fleming's great catches. Allar will be a finalist for the Heisman.
Big Ten will get at least 3.
One or the other, maybe both, of the Big Ten or SEC will get 4.

Will be interesting to see when FSU and Clemson are in the Big 10. Going to be very competitive for the slots in the playoffs.
I consider it a toss up. The excitement and satisfaction of seeing PSU in the mix....or continual fanboy outrage?
