I wonder how much you have to contribute to Penn State to receive an invitation to the the President's box for thd Ohio State game? A good friend of mine received an invite along with a reception.

That sounds like a little slice of Hell. The egoism in that suite would be suffocating.

Well if it is a good friend of yours, ask him then report back and we will all know.

I've been. It was on All-University Day against Costal Carolina. Mrs KG and I were guests of PSU Ogontz (now Abington). It's a rather large area. You got breakfast at the Penn Stater.

I’ve been fortunate enough to enjoy two games in private boxes at the stadium, including once in the president’s box.

The first time was Temple in 2007. (IIRC) it was a monsoon that night, and my daughter and I were in the NLC box. Can’t remember exactly why I rated the invite, I might’ve upgraded levels that fall. The NLC was on the west side at the time. The most memorable is the food, and it was memorable because my 5 year old and I were completely dry.

The second, and likely final time, was once again a monsoonal game, Indy in 2009. Day starts with a reception at The Penn Stater. Dick Vermeil spoke. There was some thespian entertainment and the Lion and cheerleaders as well. Then we were bused to the stadium and whisked by elevator to the suite. Again, IIRC the pres suite is top floor roughly between the 30 yard lines. Food and beverages top notch. Creamery ice cream. And, again, totally dry. The game was a blowout, and the atmosphere was fairly muted because you’re indoors and due to the fact that the team had screwed the pooch vs Iowa the week prior.

as far as your question, I was a guest of the couple that had made the donation from a deceased parents estate. It was lower six figures. And that opened doors to the suite that day amd got them a contact at two campuses and helped them acquire Bama tix one year later in T-town.

I have a rule not to discuss religion, politics nor money with friends and family. So that would not be a subject I would broach.
