I read the study and nowhere does it say that you will not receive any side effects of the medication while microdosing (it's not as if lithium turns into orange juice when you take it in lower dosages, It's still Lithium). The study states (and other studies/common sense agree) that you are less likely to have psoriasis on lower doses of Lithium. I unequivocally believe that Lithium is an incredible drug, but you are not acting in good faith when you insist that anyone who tries it will not have side effects (especially since some of the side effects of Lithium are really really bad). It should also be noted that you might get psoriasis yourself as psoriasis does not instantly appear when you take Lithium. Instead it can take a lot of time (it took me about two years before I started getting it) for psoriasis to start popping up.Take a look at the study. They used micro doses compared to what is used in the psychiatric treatment of bipolar disorder. For humans, that means about 3-5 mg. daily versus the 600-1200 mg. used for bipolar disorder.
As with any medication you should consult your doctor before using, especially if you're planning to grab medication over the counter that they (your doctor) aren't intimately familiar with. Should you experience any side effects you should immediately contact your doctor, as well.
